Lampard assist?
Lampard still hasn't been awarded the 3 points for his pass to Drogba for Chelsea's opening goal on Sunday.
I know about the 48hr rule but it's gone over that now.
Have emailed SM but had no reply.
They gave Everton's Tim Cahill an assist yesterday evening for the ball hitting off him for Jelavic's goal on Saturday so surely Lampard will get an assist for his pass!

They gave it to Terry. Even Telegraph livescoring instantly gave it to Terry somehow.

What an absolute farce! They have the power to amend this surely.
Who do SM use for their stats?

I think Terry got the assist for Mata's 'goal' that never crossed the line.

If anything he'd get the goal as it hit him last so I think it's probably the one that was supposed to be Lampard's.

Re: Lampard assist?
Hi guys,
The original sources, as well as the footage we used to review the game, all pointed towards John Terry getting the assist for Drogba's goal, so we went for a majority vote. However, upon revision of the match and further research of sources, it was decided that the assist should go to Frank Lampard. This has now been updated in the match report, so the points for the Chelsea - Tottenham game are now correct.
Just to reassure you, nobody was awarded an assist for Mata's "goal"

Thanks for clearing things up SM.
Still confused as to how Terry was confused with Lampard though.

Fair play to Silent Manager. Seems to me they've really tried to get their assists right this season. Might not always get them right straight away but getting them right in the end is what ultimately matters.

True, but checks are there for a reason, and many incorrect ones seem to be slipping through their checks and only rectified when someone complains about it being wrong.
