Why did the transfer window yesterday close at 13:00?

Okay there was a Championship game but I wasted a transfer bringing Lovren in at 15:30 but missed out on his clean sheet yesterday

because there was a european game starting at 1. think it was athlethico madrid and falcao is on the european buying list in the mirror
