Stimulate a stagnant transfer market.

Post by drramone »

Currently playing the game, but everone seems content to hold onto the players they have got.

Any ideas on how to try and stimulate some transfer activity.

Offer your best players for their rubbish ones :P

Its the same in our mini league, guess the only way is to keep pestering? Target the more unbalanced teams. If they have an abundance of attacking players then they're more likely to release a striker in return for a decent defender. Alternatively target someone who's squad is made up primarily of one Prem club - either offer some flexibility or complete a block eg Pompey defence? Once the game is underway you can also target specific results tables eg: Successful passes.

Are you in a public league or with people you know? How active are they at managing their squads?

Perhaps the most likely way to stimulate transfer activity is to propose double transfers where both parties get one player they really want plus one other. If you don't ask, you'll never know

Mini-league

Post by drramone »

It is a works mini-league made up 8 players.

Some players are logging on very regularly some less so. We have had a couple of transfers go through.

But, Looking at the teams in detail, it looks like we had a reasonable even allocation. The top players are well distrubuted, throughout the teams.

Maybe as time goes on and the gaps in the leagus start to widen, this will naturally stimulate the transfer market, we will have to wait and see.

Things to try with trading is posting on your league forum which players you are willing to give up and what kind of players you want or try sending a messages to the manger who's players you want and ask what they would want for them.

Check the strengths and weaknesses of the other teams and target those where an offer you make will benefit both teams. You have to give up value to get value so don't make offers that are very onesided as you will soon get a reputation of trying to rip off other managers which may result in any future deals you offer being ignored.

As only 1 for 1, 2 for 2 etc deals are allowed in this game it may be that 2 for 2 is the way to go as managers may want to keep a balance in their squad between attackers and defenders.
