Re: Entry levels
Is that because this is the first week that those on the one-month subscription will have needed to cancel by now?

Re: Entry levels
although loads seem to have fallen foul of that… so might not have cancelled?
Do they opt out anyway (not to be seen to be benefitting). Or do they continue their protest and abstain?

Surely anyone who meant to cancel but forgot will wait until just before their next payment is due before cancelling? Life's too short to be messing around with protests over peanuts.Zimmerman wrote:although loads seem to have fallen foul of that… so might not have cancelled?

I've a team on 14 and its position is over 33,176 so where the eff does total entries of 11,192 come from as printed initially.
Anyone with a Sunderland based team? Cone on own up what position is it? We want to find the REAL TOTAL ENTRY for this week.
My best team has 80 and that is around 800th

Re: Entry levels
Surely there is someone on here who is brave enough to admit they had some Sunderland defenders and has a minus score.
what is the position of your low scoring team to ascertain the entry level for this week?
If its around 40 odd thousand still then it could make up the minds of alot of people who are subscribing still to SUN PLUS if there is only one prize per week for continuing with this..

Sunderland... Away... to Southampton... In a European week?
Nah, surely no one on here is that silly.

Maybe the 11,000 figure is the number of entrants rather than the entries?

Must be a function of the day you entered your teams / signed up? My £19.99 came out 6 days ago.

by my (probably incorrect) reckoning 12k entries=2.5k individuals=Sun+ Subcribers= £20 every 12 weeks = £1.66 per week = around £4k entry fees per week against £5k prize money = = will this survive next season in this format considering Sun+ as a package is supposedly offering you many other features/benefits

Good work jpk, I hope they do this again next season but looking at the finance side it doesn't look likely.

Re: Entry levels
I don't think the numbers are a problem for the Sun.
They might be losing a grand a week now but go back to the early weeks, average entry 45K for first 10 weeks? Equates to over £10K profit a week for 10 weeks. This helps to explain the bonus weeks they put on for internationals and weeks when they doubled the prizemoney.
The Sun will be more than happy if the game pays for itself whilst adding 2,000-3,000 subscribers.
