Re: Dream Team Weekly Seasonal
Just wondering how the scores are calculated for the overall Dream Team Weekly, my calculations indicate via adding up my best scoring weekly team out of my 5 weekly teams to be currently 2311 points which would put me at position 31 in the top 50 (far from the top).
So I select my top scoring team out of my 5 weekly teams and then I add that weekly to get my overall score.
I don't keep the same team names necessarily each week and also I did forget to enter any teams in Week 1 so whether the fact I missed a week has any bearing
Have just queried with the Sun Dream Team HelpDesk in any case.
(Bored so thought I would look into it)

2 mark place 3015
3 alan barber 3004
4 William Prendergast 2957
5 Laurence Williams 2933
Slowly clawed the deficit back, just Wednesday and Sunday to go, A nice tight low scoring affair would do nicely on Wednesday to give me half a chance.
A point would suit both Sunderland and Arsenal so hopefully they will agree to a nice 0-0

Unfortunately I think I may have slipped too far to catch up now. Would need a very good result in the midweek game, then a high scoring final weekend and I might just snatch 3rd but I'm not counting on it.

Re: Dream Team Weekly Seasonal
You never know in this game, Mr Knowles has been ultra consistent throughout (not even sure he has had a 'bad' week) and probably deserves to win based on the time he has spent at the top. Saying that I remember I had 2 disasters in a row that nearly ruined my chances, fortunately I have been pretty good the last month or so hitting the top couple of hundred each week and gaining 10/15pts here and there.WNP wrote:Unfortunately I think I may have slipped too far to catch up now. 24pts for me as it stands before Wednesday is still tricky to make up but this last weekend will throw up some strange results and scorers know doubt, so potentially big gaps could be chased down. Just need to get lucky with having the right combination of players in one team.
I know I am struggling to decide which way to go.
Good luck though William.

You gonna need a miracle to finish first , assuming the Sun change the entry time till 3.00 Sunday as everyone can see all line-ups for 20 teams.ronny10 wrote:You never know in this game, Mr Knowles has been ultra consistent throughout (not even sure he has had a 'bad' week) and probably deserves to win based on the time he has spent at the top. Miracle being a couple of hatricks that Knowles doesn't snare.

There will be no more than 6 teams that you could make a back 5 from the Sun lists due to injuries and there has only been 9 hatricks this season.
He will def need a hatrick to occur to hope Knowles doesn't have that player too.
Not a chance imo. Too many dead rubber games also.
Get real.
Good luck to Ron but

I know what your saying but he could have lets say aguero in a man city block that concedes and mark could have aguero in a arsenal block that doesn't
a hat trick and its game on
a long shot yes but possible also

he may be out of sight come tomorrow night, but a 24pt deficit, if it stays that way, can be done but, yes, I will need a lucky break or 2

I agree that me knowles has been very consistent. I had the gap on him down to under 20 points I think at one point but then slipped up and he hasn't yet. Maybe the last week the pressure will get to him.
I think you've got a shot at catching him, but I think you'd probably need to get a player with a brace in a team with a cleansheet and him not too to have a good chance.
Hard decisions need to be made given that a lot of teams having nothing to play for. It could mean some unexpected score lines.
Best of luck with your picks

That Sunderland result has helped me close the gap on 3rd to just 13 points (down from 47) will still need a very good final week to overtake him though

Yep, good luck William, you have a decent chance now, 34 points for me is probably to much but nice gap to 3rd so only a total disaster from either myself or Knowles can stop us losing our positions I would think.
