Format
Similar to the Grand National, but hopefully not as gruelling.
Each game week will represent a fence at Cheltenham.
All fences are hopefully relatively similar and only the amount of games dictating the targeted total.
Anyone not making that weekly target will be deemed a faller.
The race will be run over the remaining 23 weeks of the season.
22 fences then a final sprint down the straight.
Any managers that have made it over the 22 jumps will sprint for the finish line;
- the remaining horses then have their scores set to zero and its their cumulative totals over those final game weeks that will determine the winner
The finish line will be crossed with the final game of the football season (to incorporate all the eligible cup finals).
Game weeks take in to account the planned fixture dates (Sat - Fri).
In the event of the game week moving (e.g. starting on a Friday) so will ours.
In the event that no horses manage to finish the course, the winner will be based on the best performance on the final fence.
In the event of a draw, it will go to the team lowest in the overall table at that point.
e.g. going in to fence 18 there are 6 horses left and they all fail to make the target. CBN had 45 and Backlash had 46 (both would fall, but Backlash would be deemed the winner).
In the event of a tie at the end of the final straight, the manager that was lowest in the overall table at the start of the final straight will be deemed the winner.
