Sorry not been ignoring you. Just back from cricket. No results up yet.
Think Magic will need three figures to take it. 6 goals & 3 assists - Can't be long now

Congratulations - what a battle. The injury to Willian may have been the crucial absence for me. Thought I might have done enough with KDB & Auba so fair play to you.

Re: * murf's FISO TFF Highlander Killer Cup league 2019/20 with added Zombie Reanimation *
I thought Mahrez not starting had ruined my chances, but a switch to 7 utd players including block defence back at start of lockdown appears to have paid off. Now top of my super league going into cup final by 35 points, but I dont have a great deal playing as I gambled on a manc final.
Thanks for this murf, really enjoyed it. Will have a team for this next year, as only being single entry sometimes its been hard to resist making moves specifically for this.

Re: * murf's FISO TFF Highlander Killer Cup league 2019/20 with added Zombie Reanimation *
I did better without a specialist team for this last year. Dedicating one for this failed miserably this year so not convinced that is the best tactic. Probably because I always accepted having a crap team with the intention of fixing it with panic transfers whenever I was in trouble, meaning the team was never set up that well and so always flirted with disaster!
I thought it was a 'solid' team on day 1 but ultimately it wasn't (although 10 of you had a worse Starting XI).
I just hope TFF is still going next season, without any rule changes which could scupper this. Hopefully the quick turn around means they will just run it in the same format but I thought they would be plugging it by now, or at least saying 'we'll be back'....

Well done MagicIsay and thanks again Murf.
Share your concerns re TFL. Hoping for good news before too long as I’d hate to have to do FPL, not really my bag.

As the Highlander would say, Tapadh leat murf. A fun competition and one that has kept interest and banter throughout the season. Hopefully you and TFF are happy to go again in September.
Congratulations on the win MagicIsay.
And for Jamjack and his comment on FPL, you could try the draft version as it is less gimmicky than the real game.

Re: * murf's FISO TFF Highlander Killer Cup league 2019/20 with added Zombie Reanimation *
Congrats to MagicIsay. As Murf says, there can be only one!
Once again, and rather bewilderingly, this (dedicated) team beat my main team, despite the strange transfer patterns that this format encourages. Last year it generated my best ever TFF result! This year wasn't quite so good - lack of transfers at the end saw me drift outside the top 1k - but it was still my best team.
Got to be happy with my fifth place this year, after second last year. This time, I think my early season relegation to the zombie hordes did for me (after missing a transfer deadline while at the pub!), as I then spent transfers like water getting back into the land of the living
And I didn't quite manage to top the TFF league table like last year, and instead had to settle for second place (by two points!).
Massive thanks again murf for all your hard work, and to use your "alternative film franchise" phrase, I too will be back next time.

If the worst happens Morganb, I’ll need to get my fix somewhere. What is this draft version of which you speak? Perhaps I should be researching a back up plan just in case. That said, I would most likely move format with my mates super league and / or with the good folks in this room on FISO. That’s what makes it fun for me.

Well... there are several FPL Drafts that run on FISO - I'm in a head-to-head league and also a TFF/FPL draft combo league. You have the standard pool of players and at a set time a "snake draft" takes place where everyone involved in your league take turns in picking a player. Each player only appears in one team in each league. Every week you then have the chance to do unlimited transfers (either waivers or picking up free agents [probably the dregs but perhaps players back from injury]). There are no wildcards/captains etc. Linky: https://draft.premierleague.com/Jamjack wrote: ↑12 Aug 2020, 09:57If the worst happens Morganb, I’ll need to get my fix somewhere. That’s good of you Morganb thanks. I will have a little looksie at the link. Think it’s fair to say that I will need to do some serious homework because I probably understood about 30% of what you’ve just explained!
I also have an irrational fear of snakes. Would that be a problem? Zombies have been my limit up until now.
