Fifty players has allowed me to keep first and second place the same as last season.

By reducing third slightly we can keep the Cup competition (prize also reduced but still a fair reward for the winner). I wanted to do this as it gives we also-rans something to maintain interest later in the season!

THE TENNER CUP 2020



The FA Cup Third Round draw has been made and marks the start of this season's Tenner Cup competition.
There is a winner takes all prize of £40 for this, so there is something to renew interest for those of us who have lost our way in the league already...


The competition will be played to coincide with the rounds of the actual FA Cup:

First round....... Game week including Sat 4th Jan
Second round.... Game week including Sat 25th Jan
Third round...... Game week including Sat 4th March
Quarter Finals... Game week including Sat 21st March
Semi Finals....... Game week including Sat 18th April
Final............... Game week including Sat 23rd May

(Note therefore, max of just two teams available to select from in the Final week. Let's hope at least one is from the Premier League....?! In the event there are no EPL teams in the final, the Tenner Final will take place on the last weekend of the Premier League season)

All games played (Cup and League) during the above game weeks count towards your score!


As we only have 50 players this season there will be fourteen byes in the first round.
Where a bye was drawn against another bye I've had to be creative and have swapped the second bye for the next team drawn - this ensures we will have 32 bonafide teams in Round 2


Drawn games will go to a replay in the next game week (if still tied, will be decided on goals scored over the two weeks - and then if still tied, by the toss of a coin)
