A quick reminder of where we stand (or lay back in blissful relaxation for those of us not in red  )

Ah blessed immunity - meaning a chill out over the international break and beyond.

For some of us.

The remaining 10 of you will enter the arena on the weekend of 15th September and only 9 will emerge.

I do love the squeaky bum Sunday’s in this game, deciding exactly how few transfers you think you can get away with to survive another Culling !!

Was also bloody gutted to see those shocking 15 & 19 scores safely in the immunity zone :(

Bearing in mind that Ings can't face his parent club Liverpool next week...

Forgot about that as it is highly likely to be a permanent transfer, just that loan bit at the start.

(Goes off to tweak FISO 500 strategy.....)

You might as well have a bad week when you have immunity. I've been sat here flicking cards into a top hat all week...!

CULL 2, WEEK 2, DAY 2 SCORES

Just 1 game to go. Southampton v Brighton.

So, who says, monday night football is dull? Well, it will be for 14 of us*. But 6 are still there after Squeaky Bum Sunday. What will it take to survive?? Is 42 enough? Maybe. 37? Maybe not...

highlander2nd02C.png

* unless we can figure out a competition around flicking cards into workie ticket's hat

Having to slug it out in an emilination game at the end of a games week is grim. When that game happens to be Southampton v Brighton.....

Doesn't look like the player in last changed his team (ever), so when Austin didn't come on we were safe. Not before I'd wasted a transfer on a rubbish player, though....

Would have been funny if one of you had transferred in someone who got you negative points to drop below him!

Quick reminder that we are all back in this week. 9 immunities spots up for grabs for the highest weekly scorers of the 19 survivors.

For those who don't get immunity, next week features the culling crescendo of a Squeaky Bum Sunday featuring Cardiff v Burnley then a Mad Murder Monday of Bournemouth v Palace. Not the greatest prospect for some desperate transfer burning so I for one am desperate for immunity....

Forgot your block would zoom past. Think I'll be crossing the line as it stands above but guessing the Alonso holders will nudge it just out of reach.

Unlucky, I've nicked 10th, you're 1pt behind, guess I'm out if Chelsea don't beat Liverpool with a cleany.

I think the overall prize for winning this league should be a top hat and a pack of cards

Believe it or not, someone (not me, I swear!) has gone to the trouble of writing a set of rules! Attached is all you need for either single or multi-player mode! :) https://everything2.com/title/throwing+cards+into+a+hat

I like note 5 but to go on and call the single player a t*sser is a bit OTT.

I am so going to do this now. Time to turn the house upside down to find the playing cards.

Murf, you make a good point. However, the single player is playing on their own so it probably follows that they are therefore a tusser (Such accusations have never bothered me in the past and it won’t put me off playing now  )

CULL 3, WEEK 1, FINAL SCORES

Just an update on where we are/were before today.
Amazingly nobody changed places in the table last sunday.

highlander2nd03B.png

[Note, although I can hopefully do an update tonight, the chances are virtually nil for sunday night before manic monday's culling game]

To those near the bottom I suggest the use of 5 transfers over the next 2 games to ensure your safety
