I couldnt reply not sure if he did it, will have to see wjat it means to him catching striker and if striker potentially had the same intention but couldnt post.

No problem. I've been too lazy to give a thought to making transfers for weeks now in either of my draft teams. However we should think about what we do in the future if the same thing should ever happen again and TWO managers transfer the same player into their teams.

@robot - yup as you didn't post, they weren't yours.

One of the points of posting twice - apart from preventing two managers "signing" the same player at approximately the same time is to prevent such accidents. Posting the intention and then confirming it's done either as a separate post or as an edit of the first post means one needs two forgetful moments rather than just one to cock up.

Not sure if we can do anything else next season to prevent cock ups.

It was a bit desperate. Any chance of signing off from the drafts with retaining my crown, i'm going for it. Shame that there were so many available midfield players and I couldn't take them all.

Rashford was definitely taken, his name was on page 37, otherwise I would've had him! He's in Robot's team #shenanigans

Rashford has never shown up on my computer. At what time do you think that robot posted his intention to transfer him in? I really don't think that robot "claimed" him. Of course if I'm wrong I'll dump him. But I don't think that I am. The screenshot of robot's team is irrelevant.

An interesting feature of this is that rarely can two teams at the top of a mini league have finished the season containing so much crap.

It's all quite bizarre because I could of sworn I had posted as well.
It was on thursday night and I blizted my teams with the last of the man u 3 for 1's so could have made a mistake.
But having put mario in as well did spend a bit of time on the thread checking as billfella had previously had him.
And was also suprised no on had rashford.

'If' I did post the next post was also mine talking about streetys site down pm.
Now the post time says 17.48 but I tried to make it whilst the site was nearly usable (ie not totally down) at just before 3pm.
It let me write the post but not actually post it, and i tried a few times.
It could be that whilst messing about I deleted my previous post regarding rashford.

Anyway we will never know! and this is an example of why these type of leagues should never involve cash!

Not sure there is a right answer here, if the post did exist streety made his decision with that in mind, either way striker made his decision with the facts he knew when posting.
Lets just hope the end result is clear cut regardless of rashford.

Unfortunately TFF didn't think that it was a good idea that I made more than five in one week. So intention aborted.

Final table and I believe that whatever would of happened with Rashford, Striker still would of won, well done. Streety and Striker way ahead of the rest (must do better) billfella 3rd, I have some penaltys to add but guess I'm still 4th.
Will tidy up when I get a bit of time to add mine and others penalty's.

Thankfully we didn't have to initiate our cunning plan to sort things out if Rashford had made the difference. The only effect was a winning margin of 10 rather than 8 pts.

streety with a Lester Piggott impression in the home straight almost brought off a brace in the last two years only going down by a nose, while Striker maintained his record of winning in every even numbered year since we started this league. So next year a repeat victory is extremely unlikely but he intends to put whoever wins next year under real pressure to maintain their title in 2019-20.

Anyway another season is over so it's now on to the World Cup.

We'll try to limit the entry to 12 managers although anyone who entered this season is guaranteed a place if they wish to play. The precise rules will be posted in a week or so but essentially the system/schedule will be as follows;

1. A full normal draft in which no player can be held by more than one manager.
2. A limited number of transfers, perhaps 6 per manager, during the group phase. These can only be used to bring in undrafted players.
3. During the period between the Group and the Knock Out phases, all managers will be able to add 2 or possibly 3 players to their teams (tbc). Here there will be no restrictions on player selection, so the best players may be in many of our teams. We did this last time (Euros) and it worked out OK. Without such a measure it's possible that the contest could be over before the group phase begins.
4. Once the knock out phase begins all managers will be allowed another set of transfers but which can only be used for undrafted players.

It will be my last season playing TFF, it is taking up too much time to keep up with the transfers. Enjoyed the FPL game this season, despite how bad i've been!

I'll be in , with regards to the rules no change is fine with me but if I was to suggest any change it would be to have a similar scenario to the world cup game and have a max amount of inter draft transfers.
Last year I tbink I ended up with about 15 spare transfers and was just picking players for the sack of it rather than thinking more deliberately had I have been forced into a maximum.

So far 10 of last year's managers are returning.

One is not playing this year and the other three haven't yet responded.

I'd expect one or two to be in and one or two to leave. That means we're likely to have between 10 and 12 without any new managers.

Personally I feel that that's about the right number as it restricts the amount of dross that we have to put in our teams and increases the value of transfers.

What do others feel. Should we not bother to try to recruit another couple of new managers or not?
