leading the way at the end of month 4 with 825 points is The Great Soprahendo. Winner of month 4 on 315 is Even Stevens followed by Four Candles 295. ES puts another horse in her stable for the monthly success. She was also top player in week 18 with 134. Four Candles on 130.
Second overall is Tonge Young Pugh Nani on 809, but so far his rewards are thin on the ground.
Month 5 is a 3 week affair before the FA Cup rouind 3.

as we reach the tail end of January, Jupiter Storm takes week 24 and is halfway to a second horse in the GN, now little more than 2 months ahead. This week with both league and cup games is the end of month 6. Full run down next week of the horse owners in line for cash payout.

at the end of month 6 & week 25 the following have nags in the stables awaiting the race, 4th April. Weekly route, Jupiter Storm, The Great Soprahendo, Even Stephens(2), Lightfoot Leftfoot & Forrest the Frenchie. The monthly winners, Sir Harry Hotspur, Sons of Pitches, Even Stephens (2) Lighfoot Leftfoot, Vics Secret 3, Dave'sDevon Reds (from final weeks last season). Still 6 or 7 weeks to qualify with another Cup round to confuse you !

Still ahead of you overall Hoppy is The Great Soprahendo (a female fanatic Klopp fan). Vics Secret 3 also not too far off the pace ! Just beginning this years horse selling campaign among my non FF friends and relatives.

Happy Eggs takes week 26 and with his win in week 12 gains another nag for the race. His team Lightfoot Leftfoot leads overall on 1263 but with a tricky week ahead it may not last very long.

and in a very thin week (matchwise) 27, Cockerel Army has a second win and becomes a horse owner with the race now less than 2 months away. I am not sure that many FF players approve of the winter break or indeed postponements involving Man City.

at the end of week 29/month 7 The Retired Luddite gains a horse ready for the race, now getting close.

week 31 sees Sons of Pitches with a 3rd weekly win, halfway to a second horse. But will the race be run this year ? Fingers crossed.

the Ides of March have come and the race is still on. Zero action on the pitch for at least 2 weeks and probably longer.

I have just picked up the SamD post of Friday evening. Sounds like a great idea and I will pm him today regarding the number of vacancies which will be available to bring the field up to 40. Watch this space !

there will be 18 runners from La Dolce Vita in the 'virtual race' so a further 22 can come from the FISO ranks. There is real cash money to be won in this, just respond with your user name and you will be in the starting line up next Saturday.

the clocks have gone on and here is the second group who have a runner in the VGN next Saturday. Dodgers Desperados. Four Candles (that is the morganb nag). Sons of Pitches. Vics Secret 111. Jasmania and Daves Devon Duffers.

The final group of 6 will appear tomorrow. By then there should be some FISO reaction other than posts about Covid.

None of murf's Highlanders (or anyone else) have not so far volunteered to ride in the race. If by Thursday there is not a full field, I have a plan to bring it up to the full 40 runners and riders. It will involve a little conscription of selected FISOers, but who ?
Am still considering a cash reward for the race.!

virtually nil interest from the FISO ranks ! Barefoot and murf added to the 31 league teams. Remaining 7 are my Monday night drinking pals, Last of the Summer Wine club. Emails will go to all when the virtual declaration is made, Thursday probably.
