You scored 22 points during the week, against my 14, leaving me only 11 points ahead and a final play off where you will have the upper hand on players. This could end up as close as my Wes Brown (I think it was him, maybe JOS) FA Cup part CS that won me my superleague some years back.!! There was two points in it when the whistle blew.....melvin wrote:Only 20 for me, thought it was 5 for penalty shootout goals.Chief Wiggsy wrote:Silly me ... gave meself more worry than I need to. Would welcome feedback on prize league, entry fee and award splits, plus any suggestion for next season.
Always assuming, of course, there's a Telegraph Championship game and prize SL.

Excellant competition as always Sam.
Many thanks for organising it.
The only change I would make to the prizemoney is awarding 95% of it to the Cup Winner, backdated to this season of course.
Looks like I may struggle to keep my top half finish. I went for Blackstock instead of Earnshaw, and backed Forest and Leicester to make the Final. That means I only have a maximum of 3 players in the Final(Adams, Whittingham and Burke).
I wonder if the Telegraph will do a League 1 Competition next year?

Re: TFFCH 2009-10: Telegraph Championship * £12 Prize League
May I add my thanks to Sam for organising it. Had hopes with a few transfers left that I might challenge for third, but went Forest heavy and now have no chance.
Strange that, being a Baggies season ticket holder, you might have thought that I would have put up a better show. Stayed with an Albion heavy defence for too long at the start of the season - wishful thinking -and didn't get on the Dorrans bandwagon until way too late. Stuck with Brunt, but Dorrans takes a lot of the set-pieces off him now, so Dorrans ended up about the only Albion player worth having. Had Maynard at the start, but sold him, possibly for Luke Moore
Certainly be up for it next year if it runs where maybe I could do better with no Albion players to put me off!

Perhaps I should've been in this as I'm 4th overall. Could've been higher if I pulled the transfer reign in even slightly. Then again as your one is a knockout there's no guarantee that I'd get through and it looks like you may use transfers differently merely as you are in this. Put 3 in and the other 2 were only just in the top 200 so not even sure what the difference was so may have a look at that. It seems nice gameplay in the Championship anyhow and Newcastle,WBA,(Cardiff or Blackpool),Shef Wed,Plymouth and Peterborough replaced by Burnley,Hull,Portsmouth,Norwich,Leeds,(Millwall or Swindon) next season.

Re: TFFCH 2009-10: Telegraph Championship * £12 Prize League
I'm going to be out most of tomorrow as my youngest is making his 1st Communion. I probably won't be around until well after 3pm so I've made my final transfers tonight. At risk of giving you an advantage in the race to avoid last, here is my XI for tomorrow:SOBD wrote:Cheers I was a bit surprised with your score I have to admit - well done.Bramernic wrote:Make that 40 - forgot penalty shoot-out goals are only +3. Anyway, you didn't do too badly yourself SOBD.
How many do you expect to have playing in the final? I'm hopeful of a full 11.
I'm hoping for the full 11 also. It's turned into a titanic battle to avoid the wooden spoon...good luck!
Marshall
Crainey
Baptiste
Hudson
McNaughton
Adam

Ledley
Campbell
Ormerod

You've got to beat me by 10 to share the honour.
