Bramernic wrote:I'm going to be out most of tomorrow as my youngest is making his 1st Communion. I probably won't be around until well after 3pm so I've made my final transfers tonight. At risk of giving you an advantage in the race to avoid last, here is my XI for tomorrow:

Marshall

Crainey
Baptiste
Hudson
McNaughton

Adam
Whittingham
Ledley

Campbell
Ormerod
Chopra

You've got to beat me by 10 to share the honour.
You're safe, I had a similar 11 but with Bothroyd instead of Ormerod so I will finish rock bottom. Fair enough as I've been there pretty much 99.9% of the season.

Having said that I've enjoyed it. Thanks for running it Sam.

Prize League leaders

Post by SamD »

Or not. Weekly points column isn't correct at the moment (includes week 40 with 41).

But if 'total' figures are accurate, top five are:

1 (2) Ian Melluish (High green Owls) 1,721
2 (1) Simon Holman (Chiefschampsotrons) 1,716
3 (3) Robert Bryson ( Farmers) 1,683
4 (4) David King (ManJester United) 1,650
5 (5) Benjamin Day (TommyMooneys Champs) 1,642

Shall wait for official confirmation from Telegraph before publishing full table and distributing prizes to top three.

Cheers mate, it was a great battle. I had a good start which I think helped me to always stay in touch at the top. The Butterfield transfer had to be my worst mistake all season as firstly picked the wrong player (Barnsley) then the right one did rubbish for me.

Adam and Chopra saw me home in the end.

Week 41 of 41 (play-off final on Sat 22 May)

The Blackpool-Cardiff finale gives BlessedBrian 45 points, Bramernic 38 and SOBD 33.

In the final league table melvin leapfrogs Chief Wiggsy to claim the Championship.
Ian's 1,721 & Simon's 1,716 points place them a commendable 54th & 59th of 5,672 teams.
The rest of the SL's first XI is unchanged (with, incidentally, all in the top 1,000 overall).
So farmerbob claims the third prize with 1,683.

And the group climbs another rung to finish second in the League of SLs.
