Final Team News.....

Post by Newbie »

Folks I've posted this in another thread but I'd really appreciate some info on the teams today if you have any "latest" news for me.

I have a few subs to make and need to know who's all fit and the possible startin 11's. Burnelys should pretty much pick itself but United on the otherhand have 3 doing fitness tests this morning.

I'm more concerned with the outcome of the fitness tests to be honest.

Thanks again & good luck to everyone.

I suspect you're going to have to wait until the teams are announced. Everything I've read says that Henderson, Ward and O'Toole face fitness tests at the last minute, and Blackwell never likes to give much away until he has to.

Keep an eye on NewsNow in case anything breaks sooner
http://www.newsnow.co.uk/h/Sport/Footba ... eld+United

I'm stress free pre-match as all my transfers are gone, and the big prizes are out of reach. My 2 or 3 players (depending on the team news) have to hold on to a 21 point lead over 7th place to keep me in the money. So I'll be down the pub hoping for a low points scoring game.

Good luck for today Craig. 15pts is not impossible for you to get the 3k with your transfers in hand. Hope you do it.

Thanks David. Slightly nervous but their you are 12pts to claw back for second & 15pts for 1st - squeaky bum time. 21pts should keep you fine for top 6, at a minimum your talking picking up 3pts which means someone would need 25 to beat you.

ALL IN.

Kenny, Morgan, Naughton, Halford, Alexander, Quinn, Elliott, Beattie, Paterson

Beattie is'nt ideal, watched him at Celtic and a bit of a headless chicken but doubt many would have gone for him!!

2-0 Beattie double!!

Oh well congrats JD. Should have won it at a canter! Full Burnley block. I fancied Burnley but had no chance of winning if I'd picked the same, delighted for Owen Coyle.

Not sure how the rest is shaping up, hopefully the two above me had no subs left!! If so it would be something like the below....

1) JD - Full burnley 25pts + Elliott 36 ish – Won it easy.
2) Foxys Current - 1734, During semi’s had Halford plus 1 Sheff Utd & Paterson
3) Dans Rejects – Halford plus 1 Sheff Utd & Paterson – 1732 at moment
4) Myself – I think I scored 23pts today – 1746 finish
5) Darren reckon your fine for the place
6) AFC was heavy Sheff Utd in fact full block I think.
7) Calne - Had Halford plus 1 Sheff Utd & no burnley in semi's
8) BDA - Halford plus 1 other.

Kenny 1pt, Morgan 1pt, Naughton 1pt, Halford 1pt, Alexander 6pts, Elliott 7pts, Quinn 2pts, Beattie 2pts, Paterson 2pts - 23pts

If that's still the case and they did'nt put Elliott or another Burnley defender in then it could be very close for 2nd!! "he prays" lol

Oh well. £250 would be very nice anyhow!!

Burnley: Jensen 6pts, Duff 6pts, Carlisle 4pts, Caldwell 6pts, Kalvenes 4pts, Elliott 7pts, Alexander 6pts, McCann 2pts (Gudjonsson 27 – 1pt), Blake 2pts (Eagles 69- 1pt), Thompson 2pts (Rodriguez 73), Paterson 2pts.

Booked: Carlisle, Kalvenes.
Goals: Elliott 13.
Sheff Utd: Kenny 1pt, Walker 1pt, Morgan 1pt, Kilgallon 1pt, Naughton 1pt, Montgomery 2pt, Howard 2pt (Lupoli 82 -1), Cotterill 2pt (Ward 58 -2), Stephen Quinn 2pts (Hendrie 85 – 1pt), Halford 1pt, Beattie – 2pts.

Sent Off: Ward (80).
Booked: Ward, Lupoli.

Looks like they're going to keep us waiting overnight for the update but I'm hopeful of top 6 and I fancy your chances of sneaking 2nd based on your analysis, Craig. I just doubt anyone near the top had transfers saved for one game as you did. Fingers crossed.

Well played guys :D

I think I finished in about 270th place in the end. Too many Argyle players in my squad.

Great game though. I hope they continue it next Season.

I think the Tele usually pay out in about three or four weeks.

Do they contact you or anything? ie a letter or anything?

If they tried to use a photo of me up against old Baconface I'd sue them. Ideally I'd like my novelty cheque presented by the living legend that is Glauber Berti.
