Points deductions - again!

Post by aldo1 »

Looks like Maloney has had an assist chopped off for the Falkirk game on Feb 8th

Liverpool game for that night still hasnt been sorted tho

Seems everytime i go into the league table the points change!!

Maybe they should wait a day or two before updating and make sure they get it right first time?!

Deleting Maloney assist was right....B.Balde got the last touch and deflected the ball to McManus who scored. Certainly it's an assist for Balde and I don't remember them giving a double assist for a goal.
But they should sort out Liverpool points too..

I've got a funny feeling they just read the BBC sport live text!!

Recent text did state that Bent and Maloney got assists in the Liverpool and Falkirk game respectively. They have both now been deleted

I do agree it wasnt an assist but having not seen the game at the time you have to assume that the Herald are doing there job correctly.

I can only assume that on the last weekend of the season they wont be posting scores until they are 100% sure!!

I think you're right about BBC live text, and Herald are not the only ones to follow it. Times have made numerous ridiculous mistakes sticking with BBC. Maybe it's a kind of easy way because only Herald and Times update Saturday games before Monday.
Herald got the fastest points update, it's normally there will be mistakes.
I'll be more upset if they fail to make the right corrections afterwards.
