Best players of the EURO group stage - according to Coachbet

Post by cb_andreas » 19 Jun 2008, 00:39

Below are the five best players of the group stage. Points have been calculated using the neutral scoring matrix, one of three scoring systems available at Coachbet. Scoring systems are determined by choice of tactics when creating a Coachbet team.

1. Villa, David (Spain, Attacker, 125.000 CBC): 30 points. David Villa has lead Spain through an impressive group stage performance with his goals and his deadly partnership with Torres. Can he continue his and Spain's successful play against Italy?

2. Podolski, Lukas (Germany, Attacker, 102.000 CBC): 21 points. While Germany has not been their normal self, Podolski has kept banging them in. He has been played a bit behind the top two at the front, but surely he must replace Gomes now to partner Klose against the Portuguese? Podolski shares the second place with van Persie.

2. van Persie, Robin (Netherlands, Attacker, 106.500 CBC): 21 points. Amazing to find the Arsenal ace in second place considering that he has not actually played that much. Will probably start on the bench against the Russians, but he will get a few minutes for sure. He shares second place with Podolski.

4. Sneijder, Wesley (Netherlands, Midfielder, 120.000 CBC): 20 points. One of two non-attackers to break into the Coachbet top 5. Sneijder scored a dream goal against France and is at the center of everything the Dutch do offensively.

5. Turan, Arda (Turkey, Midfielder, 85.000 CBC): 18 points. The big surprise of the Coachbet top 5 is the creative Arda Turan. He represents Galatasaray on club-level and after seeing Turkey's amazing turn-around against the Czechs it is impossible to predict how far his team can go in the tournament.

Do you agree? :?:
