Pro World Cup available free

I can't commit to being chairman on this as I will be by a beach for a good portion of the WC.
But I would be interested in taking part.

I'll do it: if there are enough idiots, I mean people, willing to take part.
There was a good Prem Auction thing, until it crashed with the last one or two players picked

Re: Classic World Cup 2014
Hi - it's two separate comps. The "classic" version costs a fiver, everyone picks from the same pool of players with set prices, and there are cash prizes. The "pro" version is the auction game - it's free, but ofl don't put up prizes - they are trying to get more punters interested in paying for the full pro season long version.

6 "game phases" with 5 transfers allowed per phase. Country quota rises from 2 players to 4 for the final 2 phases.

Re: Classic World Cup 2014
great start for me in this one. Notched 6 points in the first match all good.
Then noticed Jaunfran my Spanish defender wasn't playing, so even though I had decided to wait until the double points before i made any transfers i decided to swap him for Azpilicueta .
Nice start my arse.

You should worry Rick. I've got two Spanish defenders in my team. Lucky that I only put one team in this game methinks.Rick wrote:great start for me in this one. Notched 6 points in the first match all good.

Re: Classic World Cup 2014
I've only got the one as well Striker (i'm thinking good job as well). Mind you it's early days yet.
Is there no official Fiso league for this one?
Would set it up myself, but the league prizes is some sort of professional package for next season and I don't play the draft game. Not sure how it can be worth £500, but that is what it says

Re: Classic World Cup 2014
I'm assuming most people posting here enter OFL. I'm interested in entering a Pro League / Auction next year with interested people. Could we post here, or start a different thread to tout for interest?
Usually goes along draft lines or preferably auction, where only one manager gets a specific player, so only one manager could get RVP, or one manager Sturridge etc.
The OFL site charges £27/£34/£39 to oversee the league, dependent on amount of interaction. I'm easy with this, but would also be interested in us doing our own online auction and entering the teams into a private league, which would just be the OFL normal team entry fee. This would give us less interactive scope.
I've been doing auction leagues for some time and about 8 is the ideal league size, to provide adequate involvement to recover from bad auctions and for sufficient class "free agents" during the season.
I have also found that if say 9 people enter an auction or draft in the Telegraph, you can usually pick anyone you want and be within Telegraph budget, if managers know what they're doing!
I may be preaching to the converted, and you all may enter auction leagues, but I'd be interested in any feedback.
