I figure my best hope is to play my 2 Gooner defenders and John Terry in the Arse-Chels game and hope for a boring 0-0 draw like it was in their earlier game in Dec, then I'll be on my way!
Ah well that's that for this season then!
Unbelieveable! In spite of losing 10 points in the first game on 2 Arsenal defenders  my team still ran out 33-30 winners! And I didn't even use my last remaining transfer. What a week for Jordan Mutch to finally come good - take a bow son!

Confirmed that I made it through with 1 Lower and 1 Europa League team.

35-34 in the former with a last minute purchase of Benteke swinging the tie. Phew.

11-14 down in the Lower League. He has 2 transfers left to my zero, for the month. Not promising.

My ISO team is 10-6 up in the Europa League. Neither side has any trannies left.

Might need to sit down and work out if there are any intelligent benchings I can do.

Final team is on the way out

3 up after midweek but 5 down after Saturday thanks to Rooney - I hoped to turn it round today with Howard, and then Sturridge against Glen Johnson - now 10 points down. :(

Nolan and Reid (erm yes  ) needing to conjure a miracle tomorrow.

27-24 up and neither of us have any players for tonight. However, my opponent has three transfers left to my one, so I'm keeping an eye on a late move!

If he does, I will try and match it, or at least bring in Adam Johnson.

He bizarrely bought in Wes Brown, so I've weakened my squad but progressed.

As expected, lost in both ties handsomely and that's it for me for another season. No repeat of making it to last season's final day sprint.

I was 6 points ahead going into Monday, and despite me having Eriksen my opponent brought in both him and Adebayor to tie and go through on the goals scored rule. Funny old game.

I've just noticed that the next round of the cup competitions doesn't start until the midweek games

6 points ahead. My Demichelis against his Dzeko, we both have Nasri.

I'm fairly confident :?

That's me out. Swapped Mertersacker for Nasri last night which backfired badly.

First time through to the Champions League last 32 and one transfer left. I have Mirallas so obviously he should go but I don't have Suarez (brought Rooney in last week as I needed points on the Sunday). Next midweek don't count towards the last 16 if I get through, so just need to decide whether to bring in Sterling for Mirallas or Suarez for Rooney next Monday - will have to see how Saturday and Sunday go!

Thanks Snout, I'm hoping the one transfer gives me an edge but I'm a bit fearful about no Suarez!

D & B.. thought I had the edge over my opponent with Rooney now he's crocked. Have one transfer left so who, can't bring in a MC, ARS, CHE or LIV as all accounted for. Have Mata already so thinking Welbeck?

Took a gamble and brought in Hernandez in place of Rooney, backfired badly. Am up 15-14 but with his Suarez against my Johnson. Of course obvious now, Suarez for Rooney and I couldn't have lost. Oh well, maybe Johnson will score and Suarez will bite a CP player....

8-7 down with my Coutinho and Puncheon against his Suarez and Mignolet - I have a transfer and he has none. I'm pretty sure I'll bring in Suarez for Rooney but I'm also considering Sterling for Mirallas

Needing to win by as many as possible and he drops Coutinho? Does he not know I need fantasy points??

Will have to hope my Suarez and Puncheon beat his Suarez and Mignolet

Which competition? I'm in the Champions League and those two Palace goals out of nowhere will put me through barring a Mignolet assist or goal on goals scored - I think!

I've managed to scrape through to the final 16 of the Sunday league knockout, however I am unsure if these midweek games count or not, or is it just Sunday's final games to decided final places?

Cheers

I emailed them and asked. Was told it was just Sunday, good job because I'm a bit short of midweek players

The sprints are up, so decision time - I never thought it would be so hard! All 16 in the CL have Suarez surprisingly enough, there's a little devil saying don't pick him but I'm resisting the little blighter so far! Some very similar squads, I fear my lack of Toure but I suspect it may come down to who makes the best decisions on who to leave out - it might have been better if I had 5 injured players!

Thanks - and the same to anyone else in the sprints, even anyone in the CL sprint for second place ;)
