I thought I might be in the running after seeing my score but no such luck. Good luck StarMan.
Let's hope that the banter between these two improves on the last round...

Re: World Championship Belt of Premiership Predictions 09-10
Cheers DrBunker
I thought this was my first challenge for the belt but just found out I had a shot 2 sets ago and lost by 1 point
I must admit I only check the world championship table if I get a decent score so if I saw 5 points for the week I would write myself off straightaway (I wonder if Blueprint does the same thing?)
I'm looking forward to my first shot at the belt that I'm aware of and may the best man win

Re: World Championship Belt of Premiership Predictions 09-10
Glad to have won my first belt, would have been nice to actually compete against somebody but never mind
Looks like I might have a real fight on my hands this week keeping hold of it though
That is of course if SpinyNorman turns up

Re: World Championship Belt of Premiership Predictions 09-10
Well SpinyNorman turned up (Thanks for that) and it looked like I was going to take the first round and 3 points with my 1-0 left hook, but Spiny knocked me back with 5 minutes to go with his 1-1 jab that hit me that hard I thought I was surrounded
So it's Starman 0-3 SpinyNorman
Round 2 tonight Wigan V Bolton
The fight goes on

I've been away!
How did all of this happen?
Am I really ahead?
When does this set end?
I'm all over the place here.

Welcome to the fight SpinyNorman
You were ahead until last night but the scores are now 3-3 after I came up with a Wigan Bolton 0-0.
Set 28 ends with the games on Sunday

For me 8 is actually quite a good half time score.

SET 28 TITLE FIGHT RESULT
STARMAN 12 v 10 Spinynorman
StarMan gets a proper win with a proper double figures score
hammerddh (17) - another whopping score, looks like you need 17 to get in the ring these days! Now he is there can he do anything about it - unlike his previous 2 failures. Third time lucky?
Mind you, only 9 games this week (including the shifted midweek Man U game)

Re: World Championship Belt of Premiership Predictions 09-10
Thanks Spinynorman and thanks for an enjoyable contest
Even as the last few games were coming to an end,I was still doing the sums to work out if I was going to win or not.
The Blackburn v Bolton match being made void threw me a bit. I couldn't understand why it wasn't being added on until I looked on the daily topics page (I chose 1-0 Blackburn for that one by the way).
Looking forward to fight number 3. I'm just hoping it's as close and enjoyable as the one I've just had.

Getting that deja vu feeling from last week being 1 point behind again with the last round of games to go. Looks like we both got caught out by a couple of results
Score is currently
Starman 2-3 Hammerddh
Good luck

Title bout currently stands at 3-3.

JESTER 5 v 1 toffeelover
A criminal no-show til sunday morning (dare we guess hungover at this time of the year??) means our champ barely has to score anything to retain his belt (which is a good job as he only got 5).
He slipped something in my drink ref!
Only bloody Sat I've missed, can't even remember what happened, sorry Jester
Won't make the same mistake this week bagpuss

SET 31 TITLE FIGHT RESULT
BAGPUSS 10 v 9 Toffeelover
Turned out to be a tight win for our cloth cat champ. Will he stay awake to see off our next challenger?
CHALLENGER: Digsby (17) - Not a bad little score, next best was 14 and the typical/median was 10.
Stretching my TV kiddies show knowledge here but wasn't Digsby a dog? Is this title belt fight just the latest incarnation of war between mankind's favourite two pets?

Bit of a damp squid rather than electric cat v dog encounter. Our cloth champ fights on as he didn't lose.....
CHALLENGER: Surprised (15) - Now thats what I call a proper score. Thought I might have a hope with 11 points on saturday but as I only managed to convert that to, err, 11 after sunday I failed.
Note - not many games in this upcoming midweek set so it could all be close and 1 or 2 lucky picks could make any of you a contender......
