SET 39 TITLE FIGHT RESULT
SPINYNORMAN 7 v 10 Ironfist
Both repeating last week's score gives us a new champion
CHALLENGER: Surprised (11) beats Rookster by just 7-6 on the tie-break.[/quote]
Next week is the last chance for anyone to get in the ring this season (and hence potentially hold the belt over the summer).

SET 40 TITLE FIGHT RESULT
IRONFIST 7 v 9 Surprised
The new champ didn't really live up to his belt (or his name) so we have yet another new champion
CHALLENGER: Rookster(12) who is "back in training and can't wait to be back in the ring and prove I am pound for pound the best on the planet". Them be fighting words.

Best of luck Rookster.
It will be nice to have the belt over summer and I will wear it whilst watching the World Cup

Hand that belt over Surprised. You took one hell of a beating.Surprised wrote:Best of luck Rookster.

With the freakish results flying about all over the premiership today, we only managed 1 spot on score between us. Luckily for me, West Ham and Man City did what I bribed them to do.
I can't believe nobody got the Chelsea Wigan score spot on
Result
Surprised 6 - 9 Rookster

That belt looked like it belonged on me. I'd even built a little presentation case for it for those summer days when it was too hot to wear it.Rookster wrote:Hand that belt over Surprised. You took one hell of a beating.Surprised wrote:Best of luck Rookster.

I was willing City to score as it would have turned defeat into glorious victory.

I got 11 but don't suppose that will be enough to be your first August challenger.

SET 41 TITLE FIGHT RESULT
SURPRISED 6 v 9 Rookster
Yet another new champion - Rookster gets to hold the belt all summer (no getting any Factor 30 soaked in it please)
CHALLENGER: bluenoseyparker (11) does indeed beat me and johnnyhp on the tie-break.
I'm looking for someone to take over this next season as I've found myself a bit overloaded at times. This one does't take much, just set up a minileague and remember to update this thread every week.

No volunteer = no belt (or, to be precise, it remains in situ holding up Rookster's trousers)

If he returns he can start as champion and he'll have to retain his title to avoid a trouser based accident!morganb wrote:But won't Rookster's trousers fall down?
Not launching the comp yet but I have set up a Minileague ready if anybody wants to sign up early.
