QUARTER FINAL - LEG 1 - DAY 1 SCORES
steve foster 10 v 6 scopsm
Malrom 3 v 8 morganb
bluenosey 4 v 5 eagle224
forestfan 2 v 6 murf

scopsm drew the short straw there. Still 3 games to go this week and, of course, the entire new year second leg

The increasingly unfestive results are finally in....

QUARTER FINAL - LEG 1 -RESULTS

scopsm 6 v 5 steve foster (aggregate 16 v 20)
morganb 3 v 6 Malrom (agg 16 v 10)
eagle224 6 v 9 bluenosey (18 v 17)
murf 7 v 11 forestfan (agg 15 v 17)

Not sure who is unluckier, me up against the week's top scorer or bluenosey coming back to lose by just a point. No questions about the luckiest, Morganb through with a paltry 3 (to be fair he must have rested a few after the easy 1st leg win and focused efforts on surviving in Highlander).

SEMI FINAL - DRAW

eagle224 v forestfan
morganb v steve foster

2 legs starting tonight

SEMI FINAL - DAY(EVENING) 1 - SCORES

eagle224 3 v 1 forestfan
morganb 3 v 1 steve foster

Everyone predicting a bladed victory, home teams getting an early advantage with a correct score bonus.

(overall 17 picked a Sheff U win, 9 of us by 1-0 - at least 2 got the wrong result but I'm not clicking on every name to find out the definitive total)

I predicted a 1:1, but VAR destroyed everything

Why are you so obsessed with VAR in England? Just a question, I don't expect any answers...

SEMI FINAL - RESULTS

eagle224 9 v 6 forestfan
morganb 12 v 7 fsteve foster

Home wins then in leg 1. Can the Fs use home advantage to overturn things in leg 2? Will us Brits start getting back to talking about the weather now we are having all these storms or will we keep our attention on VAR?

So, with 2 games left we have our first finalist. Well played morganb.

But.... who gets the other dressing room?
forestfan pulls back to within a single point and will win any tie on away goals. Got to be Leicester hasn't it then Liverpool to best United or do you gamble????

So we have our final

Thanks for organising Murf and commiserations to eagle224.

I feel obliged to keep playing Goals now as I only signed up for this game, and did all my picks in one go on one evening about 2 months ago! (The secret of my success!)

It’s the old Deal or No Deal principle... it’s more painful if you swap your box having had the big amount in front of you all the way through!

My best season before this one in FISO Goals/PL Predictions was one when I went travelling for a couple of months and sent a load of predictions in advance!
