10 through but only 4 will get through this weekend as tie-breaks come into play for the first time.

Position Points Username
1 48 murf
2 47 paisleypark
3 44 Colbert
4 43 Rookster
5 42 nffc
6 40 Moist von Lipwig
7 39 Alchemist
8 38 bluenosey
9 36 frattonender
10 35 thebillfella

The convoluted tie-break rules are somewhere on FISO but they start off by seeing who got most points from predicting the result of the team who ended the weekend top (Chelsea?), then second etc.

8 for me so far (would have been 10 if Arsenal hadn't resorted to their old school failures wrt CSs).

Enough?

Well now I understand why the old guard were so hesitant to let me play the doubles game 8-)

Focusing on this instead of my FPL team this year, paying off so far.

We're the only originally proposed 'doubles team' (before I was poached) still left in. We'd have walked it

Funny that, my FPL team is performing dogshite as well given that we were top of the 'If Only' tree last season - are we spreading ourselves too thin with this?

Regarding Super sunday games, I don't think many had Norwich to win, and everyone had Liverpool to win.
I had the 3-1 but I am long out of murf's cup, but moving up overall.

Hopeful
1 10 Moist von Lipwig (313)
1 10 Colbert (313)
3 9 murf (113)
4 8 paisleypark (013)
4 8 thebillfella (013)
6 7 bluenosey (310)
Out barring a miracle / tie-break
7 5 Rookster (110) - could win tie-break if ties for 4th on 8
Definitely out
7 5 frattonender (010) - would lose tie-break if ties for 4th on 8
9 3 Alchemist
10 0 nffc

Bit in brackets is tie-break points in order - the points scored in matches involving Arsenal, then Liverpool, then Spurs (4th level may be Everton if they win)

1 point would be enough thanks to your tie-break strength IF nobody else gets to 9.

THROUGH
1 11 Moist von Lipwig
1 11 Colbert

4 9 thebillfella

OUT
4 9 paisleypark
6 8 bluenosey
7 6 frattonender

I think that would be sensible. Only fair to let you know that I'll be applying for costs when I win and my lawyers are dear.

Can't see points as I am only on Tapatalk.

Tie break goes on most points from league leaders' game (0 each for Arsenal?) then 2nd place (1 each for Liverpool? ) etc til one of you wins.

I have arranged for an International Break to allow full big match build up for the final in 2 weeks.

For the rest of us.... the Knockout Cup will start straight after. Sign up thread to be launched in next few days.

FINALISTS
1 10 Moist von Lipwig
2 9 thebillfella

OUT
3 9 Colbert
4 8 murf
(out go the top two in the 'overall' sidegame)

The tie-break went right through the entire set of 10 games as Colbert and thebillfella scored their points identically.

We then moved to "goals out" and thebillfella won straight away by only being 1 out on the Arsenal game (1-2) to Colbert's two (0-2). A WBA goal did it....

Tough break Colbert. I think I'm certainly riding my luck / doing it the hard way. Surely the final can't go down to 11th tiebreak as well can it...?

Gutted.

Tiebreaker should either be done on alphabetical order or overall standings like in real life :o
