How's everyone's overhaul team coming?

Gonna go block defence with the team making up ground, and a mixed bag with the other.

Second half league requires the most thought (currently fifth), but I haven't yet a plan.

You gonna play percentages from here on in or just carry on with your own game... It has served you well after all

:)

Just my own game to be honest. Don't think I'm far enough ahead to start thinking defensively!

Think I've got most things in place. Just a few decisions left to be made...

Just starting mine now. Being behind means it has to be a block defence really.

The last week we played i got 175 points, so i finally got a couple of captains in a row right.

Looking forward to next season and ironing out my rookie mistakes.

64 including Salah's motm. My bet on the Liverpool defence could have gone better, but at least Robertson still did alright.

How did you get on?

You'll need to close the gap by more than 7 points per week to catch me

Another great season for you though mate.

197th main game
15th second chance
216th second half so not a bad season but still miles off the pace of the top teams. Really enjoyed sky this season though🙂 hopefully have learnt a bit for next season though getting the captains right seems crucial. Seemed to be kane vs salah all season for captain so hard to judge it right.

Well done to cars n mane for winning👏👏

See Mad dog finished 31st in main game adding to his win last season so very impressive stats😎

Thanks guys. It was an agonising wait, but once second made his team public I was feeling pretty confident. Thought third was too far off to pull it back.

How did you get on in the end, Art?

Well done Jason- amazing scoring all year long. Enjoy the money! :D
9th and 10th for my two in the end. Decent enough result, but never had a sniff of the big money really.
Bring on next year! :)

Congrats Cars and Mane.

I blundered my way through the 2nd half of the season and fell well short.......and gave up in the end.

Got to remember a few things for next season

1) Keep hold of transfers and don't waste them anytime near the overhaul

2) Dont diversify too early. If doing well keep doing what you're doing.

3) Captain Kane and Salah every time.

Strange season for me in this, felt like I didn't do too much wrong but never really threatened the leaderboard whereas last season was a total disaster for the first four months yet I ended up in about the same position both times. Finished two hundred and something in the end although I lost interest over the final months, a combination of being too far back and being in contention in a different game. As you well know it's a lot more enjoyable when you're on the leaderboard :)

Anyway, congrats, enjoy the victory. I'll be back next season to claim the crown 8-)

Thanks - very decent season for you as well. Do you just copy the same strategy with the two teams? I ended up cutting my second team loose as it was just distracting me. I think it ended up with Calvert Lewin as perma-captain for half the season...

I agree on the transfers point. Even though I had 14 post overhaul, which should have been plenty, I found myself short at the end and had to hold onto Tosun for the last three gameweeks. Got a bit lucky to hang on. If Pogba had got any returns in those last three games, I'd have been in trouble.

I have to confess that in the last few weeks the balance tipped further towards stressful than enjoyable. But it was great fun until that point!

Looking forward to doing it all again in a few months.
