From The Times couple of days back

West Ham United The match at home to Portsmouth on April 5 has been postponed because of engineering works on London Underground. No new date has been fixed.

They might as well not have bothered announcing this:
The date for Chelsea's Barclays Premier League clash with Manchester City has been moved due to live television coverage.

The match will now take place on Sunday 6 April at the City of Manchester Stadium, kick-off is at 4pm and the game will be broadcast live on Sky Sports.

However, this game will be postponed if we are involved in an FA Cup semi-final, although if Chelsea are not involved in the FA Cup but in the Champions League quarter-finals, on Tuesday 8 April, then this match will revert to Saturday 5 April, kick-off time to be confirmed.
Meanwhile West Ham v Pompey is scheduled for Monday 7th April @ 20.00. This had been postponed from the Sat 5th because of tube engineering works. It may yet be postponed again if Pompey beat United in the FA Cup QF.

Am I right in thinking there is still one TV game to be arranged for the weekend commencing 12th April?

I think EVE v AV is a new TV date on 26th April.

West Ham United's postponed Premier League home fixture against Portsmouth is now set to take place on Monday, 7th April.

The fixture was initially scheduled for Saturday, 5th April but postponed due to TfL underground engineering works.

However should Portsmouth upset the odds and beat Manchester United in their FA Cup quarter final tie their meeting with the Hammers will be postponed yet again as the semi-finals of the competition are scheduled to take place on the weekend of April 5th/6th.

One piece of good news for those no longer able to attend the match is that the game - should it take place on the Monday as planned - will be broadcast live by Setanta Sports.

Chelsea Wigan on Monday 14th may get moved so they are keeping Saturday free

If Sky have a 13:30 and 16:00 game on Sunday 6th then
this must mean that Sky will have the Saturday Semi Final ???

BBC have Grand National on the Saturday
:? :?

This was due to be live on Sky originally. Does this mean it'll automatically be shown live on this new date?

No because Weds 19th March could be an FA Cup Replay live on BBC 1

It is unlikely that Sky would put a League game on at the same time

For your Information, including all games announced

Setanta have picked 44 Games so far

Sky have picked only 83

The Split is 46 to 92

So Setanta can only show 2 more
where as Sky still have another 9 to pick

For the third time in three attempts, Setanta have failed
to show Chelsea at home on a Monday night.

As a result of Chelsea reaching the quarter finals last night, their home League game against Middlesboro on March 31st
will be moved back to Sat 29th (or Sun 30th)
depending on the dates for the first leg of the Champions League
(draw next Friday)

Liverpool v Everton on 30 March is also at risk depending on Liv progressing and the draw.

As might Man C - Chelsea and Boro - Man U on 6 April.

And Derby - Arsenal on 28 April

Newcastle's official site:
NEWCASTLE United will now kick-off their Tyne-Wear derby clash at home to Sunderland at 1pm on Saturday, April 19, 2008. The fixture had originally been scheduled for 3pm on the same day but has now been moved on the instruction of Northumbria Police.

This game now is cancelled

Middlesboro v Man U may be cancelled as well, but not because of Man
U's involvement in the semi

Sky were the first to back the Upset then!!!

Chelsea are free to play at Man C on 5th or 6th

Howevere the Champions League may prevent Sky showing it on Sunday

Man U and Chelsea can now be both shown on the Sunday 6th
on Sky as long as they are not drawn to play on Tues 8th
in the Champions League.

When will Sky show their FA Cup Semi Final then ???

Idle speculation...

In 2007, the FA Cup semis kicked off at 1730 on the Saturday and 1600 on the Sunday at neutral Old Trafford and Villa Park.

As semi-finals will now take place at Wembley, will the Met Police flout their guidelines to enable one cup tie to be arranged on Saturday evening? Else, guess games will be scheduled for Sat lunchtime and Sun afternoon.

Of the four contenders, only Barnsley presently have a league fixture within two days of the Cup weekend, ie, on Tues 8 April. So logic suggests that the semis could be organised like this:

Sat 5 April - Cardiff v Barnsley - BBC TV - time tba
Sun 6 April - Portsmouth v West Brom - Sky TV - 1600

Sky have provisionally* pencilled in these Premier League games for TV coverage that same weekend:
Sat 5 April - Arsenal v Liverpool - 1245
Sun 6 April - Middlesbrough v Man Utd - 1330
And currently not on TV:
Sun 6 April - Man City v Chelsea - 1600

* EPL TV games: http://www.premierleague.com/page/TV/0,,12306,00.html

The Champions League quarter final first legs are set for Tues 8 and Wed 9 April. As Judio has previously stated, the CL draw this Fri 14 March will help finally determine the Sat 5 and Sun 6 April schedule of the Premier League's big three/four...

Is there a date yet for the Pompey v West Ham game that was scheduled for FA Cup semi weekend.

I couldn't find anything on the (awful, virtually unusable) Pompey website.

Matches on Tuesday 1st and Wednesday 9th
2 AS Roma v Man Utd
3 Schalke 04 v FC Barcelona

Matches on Wednesday 2nd and Tuesday 8th
1 Arsenal v Liverpool
4 Fenerbahce v Chelsea

=========================
So Man U will ask for their game on Sunday 30th March to
be moved (Villa at home)

This may free up a TV slot for Chelsea v Boro(wanted by Setanta on Mon 31st)
