Villa's Barclays Premier League trip to Manchester United will now be played on Saturday March 29.

The Old Trafford clash had been scheduled for Sunday March 30 (ko 1.30pm), but has been switched as a consequence of United's Champions League commitments.

Kick-off for the rearranged game is yet to be confirmed.

Fixture changes have been applied to my grid this evening. I've assumed that Chelsea and Man City will move back to April 5th as well as the confirmed changes the weekend before (MV and AV on March 29th, Che and Mid on March 30th).

Also, Portsmouth and West Ham has been confirmed on the West Ham site as Tuesday April 8th, even though the PL site still shows it as postponed.

I couldn't find anything on the (awful, virtually unusable) Pompey website.
Yes, click here:
West Ham United's rearranged Barclays Premier League home game against Portsmouth will now be played on Tuesday 8 April at the Boleyn Ground. The match was originally switched from Saturday 5 April to Monday 7 April. However, Portsmouth's progress to an FA Cup semi-final against West Bromwich Albion has meant the fixture has had to be pushed back a further 24 hours. The kick-off will be at 7.45pm.
P.S. Agree about the Pompey site. There is an "accessible", i.e. usable, version of the site if you add "&qs_media=html" to the end of every URL, e.g. http://www.portsmouthfc.co.uk/index.php ... media=html

According to your fixtures grid Everton v Villa is on Sat 26 April. Pretty sure this is actually on Sun 27 April. Have checked BBC and FPL sites.

There's currently no games being played on Sun 31 March so I don't expect that to stay that way for long.

I take it you mean Mon 31st March. Last time this happened they didn't move any other games to take the place of Chelsea. I think it's too short notice now unless another game was earmarked a while back.

It has today been announced that Newcastle United's up & coming fixture programme has been amended to accommodate the busy television schedules of Setanta and Sky. Newcastle's game against Portsmouth on 12th April has been moved from 3pm to the later Kick Off time of 5.15pm for the Setanta cameras. In addition to this the Tyne-Wear derby scheduled for Saturday 19th April will now take place at 1.30pm on Sunday 20th April.

Today is the 18th March

In 11 or 12 days time Chelsea play Middlesboro
on either Sat 29 or Sunday 30th

Thanks to Setanta no one yet knows??

Surely they have got to bring in some kind of deadline
so at least fans have 6 weeks notice ???

Another late change of fixtures on April 5th ???

ROVERS can now confirm that the date and kick-off time for their forthcoming home game against Tottenham Hotspur.

There was a possibility that the game would have to be moved, firstly due to Tottenham's previous involvement in the UEFA Cup, and latterly because of possibly television selection, but this morning the club can confirm that the match will take place at Ewood Park as originally planned on Saturday 5th April 2008, kick-off 3.00pm.

Saturday 12 April @ 5:15pm: Newcastle United v Portsmouth (think this is Por vs New...)

Monday 14 April @ 8pm: Chelsea v Wigan Athletic

Saturday 19 April @ 5.15pm: Blackburn Rovers v Manchester United

Monday 28 April @ 8pm: Derby County v Arsenal

Manchester United's crunch match against Aston Villa at Old Trafford, which is only being broadcast on Setanta Sports has now been moved from Sunday 30th March to Saturday 29th March at 5:15pm. The must-win game will follow hot on the heels of the Old Firm Derby earlier on that afternoon- Exclusively Live on Setanta.

Chelsea's home match against Middlesbrough, which was due to be played on Monday 31st March will now be played at Stamford Bridge in front of Setanta's cameras at 1:30pm on Sunday 30th March.

Both games will prove vital for the outcome of the title race and can only be seen on Setanta.

It's possible that the Premier League title and/or European qualification and/or relegation worries will be affected by more than the two fixtures that Sky usually broadcast on the final Sunday. So might Setanta think it's worth providing a third match for armchair fans that afternoon?

More imminently, wonder if Setanta will stick to their initial plan to transmit the twice-rearranged West Ham-Portsmouth tie on Tues 8 April (despite the clash with ITV's coverage of the Champions League)? Or will the new broadcaster keep its powder dry for two games in May?

The PL site and Chelsea's official site both have Man City v Chelsea on Sun 6th April (KO 16.00) down as postponed. However the City official site does not.

Who is correct?

Chelsea are playing in Europe on the Tuesday 8th

There is a zero percent chance of the club agreeing to
play on the Sunday

Maybe Setanta are trying to get on Saturday night ???

Man City v Chelsea now confirmed as follows

The date for the Barclay Premier League game away to Manchester City has been finalised for Saturday 5 April.

The match will kick-off at 3pm and will not be televised live.

The switch from the previously announced Sunday date is due to Chelsea's involvement in the Champions League the following Tuesday.

The above change creates a Chelsea 2-1 over every other club which might be useful this late in the season.

The teams clearly aren't happy - so is this date a definite? Not on the official PL fixture list yet.
