Premier League fixtures have been brought forward for both Champions League survivors in the weekend between first and second legs of semi-finals.

So seven of the penultimate round of PL games (Match Week 37) are currently due to be televised:

Friday 3 May
Everton v Burnley, 20:00 - Sky Sports

Sat 4 May
Bournemouth v Tottenham, 12:30 - Sky Sports
West Ham v Southampton, 15:00
Wolves v Fulham, 15:00
Cardiff v Crystal Palace, 17:30 - BT Sport
Newcastle v Liverpool, 19:45 - Sky Sports

Sun 5 May
Chelsea v Watford, 14:00
Huddersfield v Man Utd, 14:00 - Sky Sports

So, in TFF land, that gives a whopping 8 flange penultimate weekend before the massive single flange final weekend.

Just think what fun that would have been in good old TFFO. 8 captain choices then a single pick to make or break your season.

Yes, seven PL fixtures televised over one weekend is a record. Last year, seven games from Week 35 were shown, but three of those were rearranged as they clashed with FA Cup semi-finals.

So, after this penultimate Week 37 round, Sky Sports can pick and show two Week 38 matches (rather than usual three) at 15:00 on Sunday 12 May. At the moment these are likely to be title-race contenders: Manchester City at Brighton; Liverpool home to Wolves.

And West Ham have been denied permission to move one of the remaining Sat at 3pm matches back to 1230

They wanted their fans to be able to go to Wembley for support the Womens team at 530

Thinking ahead to next season, and now Liverpool will be playing in the World Clup Cup, that's probably 2 or 3 of their PL fixtures moved in December. Could be fun trying to re-schedule those, especially if they get into the League Cup semis.

Could also lead to some interesting chip tactics in FPL.

World Club Cup had looked like it was off as they were after a bigger summer tournament every 4 years instead BUT the selection of 2019 venue is on the agenda for this afternoon's FIFA Council meeting so it is probably ON again. If the rumoured 'winter break' occurs, could Liverpool use it for catch up???

Chelsea v Liverpool in European Super Cup is on August 14 (Wednesday after first league fixtures - "The fixtures are set to be released on Thursday 13 June 2019 at 09:00 BST". ).

Another issue is the late return of players from the African Cup of Nations (June 21 - July 19, delayed due to Ramadan) - including Senegal (inc. Mane) and Egypt (Salah). Copa America finishes a bit earlier, July 7. At least the Europeans will be finished with the silly* Nations League thingy on June 9.
