1 There is now a free Sunday date

Arsenal week was
Monday night PL v Southampton
Thursday night away in Moscow
Sun at 130 away in Newcastle
It will be a surprise to fans of Southampton and Arsenal who have made plans to attend the Monday game, safe in the knowledge it would not be moved, as there was no asterisk by the fixture, like there were with the City, Liverpool and Chelsea games.

Some of those fans will now likely find themseles out of pocket on non-refundable travel or accomodation costs. SImilarly, some fans will have committed to plans on the Sunday and now not be able to make that fixture.

I hope the clubs - who in this case asked for and agreed it - will refund any fans who do end uo out of pocket. But I doubt it. Rant over!

Surprised Soton didn't stand their ground for the reasons mentioned by Snout AND to give Arsenal even less incentive to be arsed ahead of their EL game.

Sky perhaps influenced by their regular MNF setup being out of commission for the rest of the season? :?

Yes after they know the Sunday Semi Final picked by BT (assume BBC want the Saturday )
Full lIst

Plus possibly Chelsea v Huddersfield

Bold means 2 games to play
Burnley v Chelsea
Leicester v Arsenal
Man City v Brighton
Swansea v Southampton
Tottenham v Newcastle
West Ham v Man Utd
Bournemouth v Man Utd
Brighton v Tottenham
Leicester v Southampton

6 of them WERE picked by TV
So Logic would say
Tues 17 Wed 18 Thur 19 April
Tues 8 Weds 9 Thurs 10 May

BUT last year Sky picked a Monday for Chelsea v Watford and rearranged the Saturday games to Friday night (one of which they put on TV)

Shocking for the Newcastle fans - tickets are already on sale for the Everton match! Total disregard for the football fans once again.

Final Cup fixture

Post by SamD »

Note that Chelsea-Man Utd FA Cup Final will kick off at 17:15 on Sat 19 May, NOT 17:30 as shown on some sites such as the Telegraph's.

So footie viewers may need to wrest the remote control from Royal Wedding watchers even earlier than they might have imagined...

Almost guarantees that Swansea will get a shed load of goals to try and catch Southampton.
