Initial Draft + some transfer ideas for MCI & MUN
Hi all,
So here's my initial draft with 3.5m ITB
Patricio
Gomez - TAA - Robertson - Chilwell
Ziyech - Willian - Pulisic
Salah - Auba - Werner
Here are the transfers I'm thinking of making but not sure after week 1 or 2 considering Man City have Wolves away (previous records show Wolves are good):
Option 1
TAA > KDB
Willian or Ziyech > Fernandes
Auba > Sterling (or Aguero if he's back by then)
Option 2
Chilwell > Vinagre (depends if Wolves don't sign another LWB - Jonny injured)
TAA > Fernandes
Werner > Sterling
Auba > Aguero (if he's back by then)
Which option do you think would be better? If there are other choices you recommend, please feel free to let me know as I appreciate all ideas .
Also, if some of the starting draft are out, let me know along with alternate suggestions
Cheers,
BTP

Looks quite similar to what I was thinking
Couple of things to think about is that Chilwell, Ziyech and Pulisic are injury doubts - not sure to what degree so worth reading up / checking friendlies.
Willian wasn’t in squad for charity shield either but reading this it’s more about match fitness.
Still tinkering my team - and no doubt will be till kick off

Re: Initial Draft + some transfer ideas for MCI & MUN
I appreciate all the advice! So, I've revised it a little considering Chilwell and Pulisic are set to miss the opener against Brighton.
This is my revised Starting XI (5.5m ITB)
Patricio
Gomez - TAA - Robertson - Vinagre
Ziyech - Willian - Traore
Salah - Auba - Werner
The plan I've got for transfers is now:
Traore > B.Fernandes (After week 1)
Robertson > KDB (After week 2)
Willian > Pulisic (After week 2 or upon return - not sure about this change)
Auba > Aguero / Sterling (After week 2, also not sure about this change)
What are peoples opinions on these changes?

Think Leno is a better choice than Patricio . Arsenal improving all the time and picks up more 7+ ratings . Think you’ll be lucky if Patricio picks up more than 60 points this year ...

Traore tested positive for COVID so he’s a doubt for GW1

Damn, who would you recommend to fill up the third spot in MF temporarily? I'm thinking Mount, Alli or Pepe?

Southampton , Everton etc all have an extra game first week with Carabou cup . If just short term what about Redmond for Southampton ?

I've updated my side with the changes:
Patricio > Leno (temporary, I think Arsenal will keep a clean sheet the first two opening games then I'll swap out for Kepa if he becomes the No.1 again)
Traore > Havertz (big signing, could start on LW instead of Pulisic since he's injured or in CAM)
Everyone else is the same.
What do you think?

Can't see your new "updated" side to comment.

Looks good tbh, just keep an eye on Ziyech injury & make sure Wolves don't sign a new lb as i have read their on the lookout.

Re: Initial Draft + some transfer ideas for MCI & MUN
Thanks LFC!
I'll keep an eye on Wolves and their LB/LWB situation
If Ziyech is a doubt for the first game (which looks likely), who would you pick ahead of him instead?
Cheers

Re: Initial Draft + some transfer ideas for MCI & MUN
I'd probably look at someone like Traore, may also have a midweek lge cup game as well??....or if you don't fancy him,a main midfielder from someone who isn't in europe who would also have a chance of a 2nd game in midweek.

I’d have gone for Traore but I think he’s isolating?
Damn, can’t catch a break what would you recommend as either a 4th mid or 4th defender temporarily?

Just to warn you Havertz may not start or may just get a Cameo . Away on international duty so no training with team .

Have you enough for Zaha ? Due to injuries he’s playing up front . Pre season he’s scored a few but doesn’t really mean he will bring that to the premiership .

Mateus Pereira at West Brom is also worth a look . Apparently everything attacking goes through him . 8 goals and 16 assists last year .

Re: Initial Draft + some transfer ideas for MCI & MUN
Good shouts! Apparently Traore has been given the clear and can start against Sheffield. So this is my updated lineup with 3.5m ITB
I've removed Vinagre as Wolves have signed Marcal for LB/LWB
Leno (depends if he starts or not, may swap with Kepa if Chelsea don't sign a GK but first 2 fixtures look promising)
Robertson - Gomez - TAA
Havertz - Ziyech - Willian - Traore
Auba - Salah - Werner
I'm thinking of these subs
After week 1
Traore > Fernandes
Robertson > Ake (depends if he starts against Wolves. Also cup game he will play)
After week 2
Willian > KDB
Auba > Aguero (depends on injury status)
Problem I've got is that I'm not sure whether I should make the second batch of transfers when I'm currently deciding, or to do it after GW1? Considering Man City play Wolves away, previous records show that Wolves have a good record at home.
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated
