March transfers dilemma! Help!
Hi all,
Bit of a dilemma with March fixtures. Im currently 40 points behind the leader and here is my current team at the minute:
Ederson
Lindelof - Robertson - Doherty
Hazard - Pedro - Sterling - Sane
Salah - Aguero - Rashford
I was thinking of maybe switching Robertson and Doherty out for Laporte and Otamendi considering Man City’s easy March fixtures but I'm open to all ideas/suggestions.
I was also thinking of offloading Pedro for maybe Maddison considering Leicester’s fixtures and with Puel being sacked, they might have a buzz of energy now similarly to Man United when Jose got sacked and Ole coming in but this is questionable.
I've got 0.9m ITB with no transfers left until they're reset. Below is the team ahead of me:
Foster
VVD - Robertson - Doherty
Willian - Hazard - Sterling - Pogba
Rashford - Aguero - Salah
Third place is only 5 points behind me with the following team if that helps too, he is also going to be putting Kane in when March transfers commence:
Ederson
van Aanholt - VVD - Alonso
Maddison - Mane - Sane - Pogba
Son - Salah - Aguero
Any suggestions to help chase first would be greatly appreciated
Cheers!

Re: March transfers dilemma! Help!
Laporte might be injured
Rashford might be injured
Sane is in and out of the team
Pedro is in and out of the team
I wouldn’t maybe be too hasty to get rid of Robertson or Doherty

Oh damn, I didn’t watch the games yesterday so thought they were all tactical switches!
What would you guys suggest for changes going into March considering the position I’m in?

Laporte is out for weeks, I need to swap him too. Also don’t put Kane in just yet, Spurs have a match early March against Southampton (I believe) and don’t play again until the end of March against Liverpool (again could be wrong on the opponent), meaning Spurs have a 3 week break. A striker going 3 weeks getting no points? Yikes. Liverpool play 3 games in March city play 4.

Re: March transfers dilemma! Help!
My initial thinking was to keep my midfield/attack the same as it’s close to the leaders and hope his Liverpool and Watford defence bank concede as I think Liverpool and Watford have more difficult fixtures than Man City.
Maybe considering Otamendi and Stones then since Laporte is injured so I get all coverage (FA, UCL & PL) I’m still not sure though. Hopefully Rashfords injury status comes through soon so I can see if he needs taking out.
Also guys, should I still keep Pedro with Chelsea potentially playing upto 6 games, praying he scores or should I switch him out for someone else? If so who?
Cheers!

I was just having a look at the injury updates and Stones seems close to returning.
However Blademan, what would you suggest/do if you were in my boots?

Re: March transfers dilemma! Help!
Lots of big player injuries and suspensions this month including Pogba missing out their champs league fixture (not that he’d do much against PSG) they were a different class. Will be an interesting month.

Re: March transfers dilemma! Help!
Out of everyone though I’d say Pedro is your weakest link although could do well this month with 6 games being played and arguably easier fixtures than some of the other big clubs. And then Wolves have got a tough run coming up soon so i’d be wanting to offload Doherty but saying that he has been pretty consistent all season so who knows.... Finally although Lindelof is cheap and good value for points now, I think the wheels may fall off abit for Utd now - I’ve predicted one clean sheet for them in March.

If you look at the FAQ's and click on transfers it clearly says Friday 8th March.
I was also under the impression that they kicked in this Friday.
I'm sure this is going to kill a few teams my own included

Re: March transfers dilemma! Help!
So after yesterday’s games, was so close to closing the gaps down until VVD (thanks )
I was now thinking something like this:
Sane -> Mane (seems to have picked up form again)
Doherty -> VVD
OR
Sane -> B Silva
Doherty -> VVD
Lindelof -> Zinchenko (potential points machine?)
Not sure though? Any suggestions now since midweek games are done?
Cheers!

Re: March transfers dilemma! Help!
Nows the time to look for differentials. After this there's only 2 more sets of transfers. If your behind a lot go for broke. If your behind a little then adding the likes of VVD and a not so popular pick may be enough.
Mane is a decent differential as a lot of people have sterling hazard pogba etc.
To be honest you just have to look at what the teams in front of you have and go different.
That may mean no Salah and Higuain or no Kane and an Aubameyang or something.
In my opinion March time is the time to go for broke. There's no point paddling around trying to catch a leader by making conservative moves.
