FISO wins the November prize
It's close! FISO seemed to have an unassailable lead but The Premier Premier (TPP) has come from nowhere to lead going into the final match (Liverpool v West Ham). TPP is only 0.8 pts ahead... although one of their managers will have Wheater autosubbed into their team due to Zaki's injury. This means that they are really in the lead at this stage by 2.0 pts.
So it's all down to the Liverpool defence! For both FISO and TPP 3 out of the top 5 teams have Reina in goal, so that just cancels him out. The same can be said for Arbeloa (2 teams).
It looks like it could all rest on Carragher's shoulders (3xFISO but only 1xTPP) and Agger and Dossena (1xFISO but 0xTPP). Watch out for Kuyt though as one of the TPP players has him and we don't.
PJ's verdict: If Liverpool keep a clean sheet and Carragher plays we should win. If not, it could be a very close call... especially if autosubs come into play (e.g. Grandad would make another 6 points from benched Arteta if Arbeloa or Agger didn't play).
I make FISO $1.80 favourites! Let's hope the Hammers draw a blank. Good luck Grandad, waiheke boyz, luckysevens and Ladies of the Canyon!

Re: Can FISO take out the November prize?
Assuming of course that the current top 5s will be the top 5s come tonight. Maybe a couple of blocks lurking in the background waiting to pounce.

Hi sorbiegunner. I had a quick look down the list and think it's probably going to be fought out by the current top 5... unless there are some crazy Hammers fans lower down the ranks which I haven't noticed... and the Hammers somehow score a goal.sorbiegunner wrote:Assuming of course that the current top 5s will be the top 5s come tonight. The top 5 FISOers all have a Liverpool defensive block!

Re: Can FISO take out the November prize?
A defensive block is a bit of a misnomer though isn't it... we can only pick 2 from any team so a Semi-Liverpool + Bosingwa is probably a better word.flyingkillercob wrote:This is obviously where I'm going wrong Good luck all those in with a shout!Pommy Jimbo wrote: The top 5 FISOers all have a Liverpool defensive block!
Good luck to all up for this. I'm 9pts off 5th with only a possible maximum of 12pts tonight so I doubt I can mucsle in.
Cheers

I think the final result suits us with all the liverpool players netting the points with the exception of Agger which allows grandad to capitalise on Arteta.
Should be enough.

cheers grandad. i notice that the competition rules say that overseas entrants receiving prizes is at the organisers discretion - are we likely to be elegible for the voucher/top 20 prizes?

actually i just realised that i mis read the prize categories, and i'm not elegible for one - i thought it was top 20 overall at the end of the month, not top 20 for that month

Congratulations to the Kiwi boys - must be something about the coastal air in the Auckland Region, I haven't made a FF trick since moving to Hamilton 2 and a half years ago.

They ask for bank details via email and just transfer any cash prizes and they email you a code for Amazon so I don't think you'll have any problems. You only have 7 days to respond so keep an eye out for their email saying you've won.

Re: FISO wins the November prize
The last match that counted for the October prize was 29th October and I received my email on 3rd November, 5 days later. The last match that counted for the November prize was 1st Dec, so don't fret just yet! Also, check your spam folder, the email comes from ISM, not CYKI so it may get blocked even if you are receiving the weekly update emails from CYKI.
