Thought I'd bump this again...

FISO are doing well again this month plus I have a slight interest in this game now  ...in third overall 6 pts behind The Woolster so I really am beginning to take this seriously because of the cash involved.

Anyway...

Personally I'm desperate for a Liverpool clean sheet today as it would be a good start to the weekend. (Carragher plus Aurelio :D )

How's everyone else doing this week?

Not feeling too confident for this week, got a few too many players not playing so not expecting to stay top :(

Have been keeping an eye on some of the teams around the top 10. There was one that I think was in 3rd that made 3 or 4 changes last week, taking out Nasri in the process. Another team I think in the top 5 brought in Kenye Jones and captained him (might even have been the same team that took out Nasri)

There was another one that I saw that was in 5th overall about 4 weeks ago that was not an active team, no transfers or captain changes . (just checked, they are now in 208th, still very respectable considering.

I think the current leader of the MotM comp is also not an active team

I dropped Ireland this week to shoehorn Lampard in

I was expecting to only field 9/10 men with doubts over Zaki, L Young and A Traore, so it was a bonus to get a CS from each of the latter two!

21 points seperate the top 10 and I can see 4 FISOers in there. Winning the FISO league could really mean you win the lot now. Winning monthly prizes is one thing but to have so many of us in the Top 10 by December shows quality. FITCIP and all that...

Bought in A Young and C Cole yesterday. So nearly went for Ireland and Van Persie but thought I better get 2 playing players.

For posterity (as I'll almost certainly be knocked back to 12th after tomorrow's match)

1 PDM Allstars 945-234 p mowbray 945-234 55 1938
2 Roliver Spomena Mijuskovic 42 1927

I've had quite a run, from 120th after GW31 to 10th after GW36.9 :o

Anyhow, good luck to everyone for the final week, in particular The Saint and El Tel who are well in the mix for some money. :D

Congrats to our season-long money winners, The Saint in second overall, and Lazyboy in fourth! :D But bad luck to El Tel who's had a great season but just missed out on the top five. :(

Chuffed to have sneaked into the top 10, my best ever finish in any game! :D

And hopefully another Amazon £50 on its way, as I think we've won the May league (if there are prizes for May?)

Van Persie (c) worked out quite nicely today 8-)

Really pleased about this as I think this is a great game. I hope it runs again next year.

I think with 15 mins to go I was about one point in the lead but Big Sam took off Samba in the 59 min to deny clean sheet points and then Ash Cole scored (who the leader had). Everyone has an 'if only' story though - the beauty, and the pain, of fantasy football! Congrats to the winner, well played.

Pleased about the monthly 50 quid win as well as I have managed to be in the top 5 of FISO in a month a few times over the last couple of seasons and everytime I have been there FISO hasn't won the best league

Well played The Saint and all other FISOers up there in the top 10. I clearly peaked too early this season but a few monthly prizes have cushioned the blow. 2 in September and 2 in April means the team can't have been that bad... I just had a crap Christmas period that's all - Ronaldo GRRR!!!

I'm already looking forward to playing this next season... One of the best FF games on the market imho.

One lesson I learned from this comp this year is not to give up on teams too early. I actually didn't make the top 100 until game week 28!

I agree this is an excellent game (I would say that being £2500 better off)! Seriously though: it is premier league only; no silly man of the match points; a large number of viable successful strategies; a one team only rule that seems to be respected; a great user interface; and its free to play - what more could you want!

I must confess I've really enjoyed this game. I only came 46th in the FISO league, and managed a very creditable 750th overall (for me). I came close to breaking into the top 5 one month, but didn't quite make it. The strange thing is I barely gave the game much of my time at all, while concentrating on FPL far more and coming 83,000th. While most of my FPL tactics failed to materialise, my CYKI team always seemed to do quite well. I think it's the 2 free transfers a week that helped me, or the fact I barely looked at it.

Going to try and devote a bit more time next season, so I'll probably bomb out completely.

Big surprise to receive one of these today. :) I knew that May had been a decent month for me - but I'd never bothered to check the mini-league situation because FISO has so many strong players.

Anway, thanks to RVP, Anelka and my Everton defenders - all of whom, ironically, killed my chances of any cash from YTM. In fact I collected most of the players who would hurt me most in YTM in my CYKI side - how about that for strategy? :?

CYKI is a great game, but I ruined this season by not leaving space for Ronaldo - so it's just been a case of a quick 'set and forget' each Friday and logging on again on a Monday mainly to check my mate Grandad's progress. In some ways, I wish that he had my May points total which probably would have given him a seasonal prize.

This thread popping up has reminded me that I still have a League of the month (top 5 players) prize of a 50 pound certificate from amazon.co.uk which I haven't used. As far as I know RamR... No matter where you live the amazon voucher will count including delivery (depending on what you buy). As long as you claimed it within the timeframe set up in the ISM/Amazon T&Cs. I'd check back on your emails TBH.

Basically you need to register the code with Amazon from my experience and then you will have a window to use it within.

The point I was making is that I would rather avoid having something sent from the UK to Canada due to the likely high postage costs (unless the item were quite small which still might bring high rates). I would look towards "selling" it to someone who is in the UK and planning on using amazon anyway, which would be the easiest for me, but there is a stipulation in the small print that says that the code can't be transferred (not sure what that means though). Also, the original e-mail doesn't say anything (that I can see) about a deadline for use of the code.
