Template team?
Was just wondering what people think is the best team possible moving forward. Considering things such as injured players, fixtures coming up etc. The budget would be something like 52.5m so a team that’s had a good start. Here’s an example team
Adrian
Digne
Zinchenko
Otamendi
Mane
De Bruyne
Sterling
James
Kane
Salah
Firmino
If you guys would post what you believe would be a good template team moving forward it would very much be appreciated. Other players worth considering are like mount, Abraham, Pepe, pukki, Jimenez, aguero,

Re: Template team?
I don't have the time to work out the costs but il give a rough opinion.
ADRIAN (your gonna have to change soon)
DIGNE ( great start and a good player but without Europe. When price is going to drop maybe get rid)
ZINCHENKO (keep unless gets dropped)
OTAMENDI (laporte injured and stones hit and miss. Keep unless dropped)
MANE (keep)
DE BRYUNE (keep)
STERLING (keep)
JAMES (keep as enabler and decent start)
KANE (keep)
SALAH (keep)
FIRMINO ( I would want Aguero long term)
Not a whole lot to change. Your gonna have to think about your keeper situation and getting Aguero into your team. He is a player who can make or break teams playing even one half of football.

Re: Template team?
Clem - don’t think this is a RMT thread, it’s a hypothetical template team.
I’d say maybe one of Mane or KDB has to be sacrificed for Mount or Pepe, then upgrade Digne to a Liverpool defender, perhaps best value long term is Robertson.
Then once Alisson back, get him in at 4.4m somehow....

Wrecking my brain trying to figure out to upgrade jota to Auba or ideally Aguero. The wolves gamble hasn't paid off. From what I've seen, I think Pepe is going to explode, reminds me of Salah first Liverpool season.
Patricio
Zinchenko
Mina
Doherty
Mane
Sterling
De bruyne
Lucas
Salah
Kane
Jota
Thinking Doherty to Maitland Niles, de bruyne to Pepe then jota, which still leaves me with the Lucas problem.

Yeah I know was just given him advice as he said what we thought going forward so I used his template and said what I would change for future.Edmondson wrote: ↑04 Sep 2019, 21:13 Clem - don’t think this is a RMT thread, it’s a hypothetical template team.

Otamendi could be a good shout based on his whoscored love however maybe citys defence could become more suspect with stones and otamendi at the heart as a rate Laporte their best defender.
Kyle walker isn't as solid as he used to be so maybe a pool block could be the way to go.

Re: Template team?
true
the ones I was also considering were Matip or Boly
Matip maybe a rotation risk if Klopp wants to get Gomez back in the team...

Re: Template team?
I can see maybe Klopp playing Gomez at right back when TAA needs a break. I think the Matip/VVD partnership will be the one going forward unless Matip starts to make mistakes which in all fairness he doesn't seem to be going to make.
Theres enough games for Gomez to play to keep his development and he's still young.
Boly not a bad shout but wolves haven't looked all that convincing at the back. I would probably sway towards Matip.

Re: Template team?
We got some double game weeks coming up so should see Matip/Gomez rotation there with one playing the prem and the other playing champs league. Klopp enforced this policy last year with Van Dijk the mainstay.

Re: Template team?
The fullbacks most likely to see rotation though (due to the physical exertion of that position)?
Given Liverpool only have Gomez and Milner to ‘cover’ full back... I think Trent is more susceptible.

Nice one DarkStyles, Otamendi is a great pick.... and you're thinking about putting him in BEFORE he gets his 18 pointer!DarkStyles wrote: ↑05 Sep 2019, 11:00 according to the daily mail, laporte will be out for rest of the year!!

Re: Template team?
im still learning to 'get on the train' before it departs LOL
DT loved Otamendi when he was a regular, cant see why they would change AND only 3.4m (last time I checked)

Re: Template team?
With all the transfers issued in the last 2 months with no football being played finally got to this front 7
De Bruyne (mc)
Mane (liv)
Fernandez (mu)
Sterling (mc)
Kane (tot)
Salah (liv)
Aguero (mc)
Those 7 with Utd block =57.2m
Those 7 with city block =58.5m
Something worth considering for a late differential gamble against the Liverpool blocks?

Re: Template team?
Got the same mid/strike line basicly apart from Aubamayang instead of Kane (but pleanty of money in the bank still) looking at a semi United block maybe keeping TAA though if things do carry on.Nightowl wrote: ↑02 May 2020, 11:51 With all the transfers issued in the last 2 months with no football being played finally got to this front 7
