Almost correct - he was just behind Giminez.

The footballing gods are torturing those of us who have Cavani. First gets stopped by a super save then hits the post.

Cacares goal would have been lovely too, but that clown on his own team had to block his shot

Yep, disappointed with the lack of effort from Uruguay but my Uruguay based block is looking good.

Uruguay - exactly the kind of performnce that suggests that they will go deep in tourney.

ie play rubbish, still win.
Suarez will not play worse than today, Cavani will be "luckier" on average.

Did anyone here daisy chain a Russia block with a Uruguay block? If you did you're probably in ecstasy right now!

No way the Saudi keeper pulls off some of those saves against Cavani and Suarez next week.

That's true.

Tough call on what to do with Suarez with those who have him in their teams.

Early days folks. Those Uruguay and Russia full 11s may look good now but 11 transfers in 2 weeks later might not look so good.

Nothing few clean sheets from Brazil Germany or Belgium wouldnt sort out.

Check the leaderboard - anyone above 65-odd points has done that. Cant get too excited about them. There will be those who got a CS with Uruguay who will jump on to someone else who will also get CS and end up on same page.

I think more relevant is those who burnt a transfer or two to get Suarez/Cavani will have wasted them. Assuming a full switch from yesterday to today (6 transfers allowed in total), assumes 5 to change the defence and 1 to get Suarez/Cavani in.

The really happy ones will be those that started Russia block, switched to Uruguay but had neither Cavani/Suarez and cant imagine there are too many of them. Everyone in top 20 currently appears to have at least one of them (and many have both).

I still have teams to enter and am 90 points behind!! No stress - the key (for me anyway) is not to panic and start making silly moves and sticking to original plan.

I have Cavani and keeping him. He came close twice today with two good strikes and I think next week he's going to pound the Saudi goal and make it pregnant. Glad I avoided Suarez, think he's going to be a disappointment. Might get one or two against Saudi because his positioning is good but he'll blank against other teams.

On one hand he could get a hat trick, on another hand there's a few opportunities before that game where a striker could haul 20+ points. I'll probably decide to swap him out and then burn another transfer putting him back in

I'm taking Cavani out for Lukaku on Monday, then bringing Cavani back in for one of my strikers for the Saudi game.

This was my initial plan but now I'm reluctant to move the block on knowing that Saudi are up next.

Guess if I hold and move on after Saudi I would still get the extra game...or maybe I should just stick to the plan.
