Aubameyang + Mkhitaryan

Post by BKK_Shogun »

Thoughts on their Dream Team potential? Aubameyang and Mkhitaryan played very well together at Dortmund but will Wenger let them off the leash? The former got the goals and the latter got lots of assists. I'm just a bit concerned about Wenger's rotation policy. :?:

I'm an arsenal fan and don't really know how it will play out. Miki and Ozil will want the same space as will Lacazette and aubameyang. That means some players will be playing slightly out of position. It's abit unbalanced in my opinion. Miki is cheap if he finds abit of form but neither interest me yet.

Understandable. I also don't know how he'll fit them all in. Good problems for Arsenal to have though!

You would think that however under Wenger I'm not so sure. He likes to play certain players even out of position just to shoehorn them into the team. It can create a lack of balance. He said the other day he sees miki able to play as more a deeper midfielder I'm assuming like a Fabregas role just in front of xhaka. For me again that's not his position. Kolasinac was having a cracking few months before he got injured and now isn't getting as much game time.

As an Arsenal fan cclem, how serious do you think Wenger is going to take the knockout stages of the Europa League? May be there best chance of a Champions League place, do you think he will start to field a stronger side or continue with some of the youngsters?

He no longer has Walcott or Giroud at his disposal (they were getting Europa minutes).

Still got 4 rounds to navigate before the final, but I reckon a bit of a mixed side L32 and then we’ll start seeing strong sides. Isn’t auby cup tied though.

I think he will do the same as he did in league cup which is next game play half and half system then as the games get more difficult you will see more of the regular starters.

Problem is I dont know if aubameyang can play or not. So you could see Lacazette start in Europa and rotated in the league.

Playing in one (of EL\CL) does not stop a player playing in the other, or so I believe - so both should be fine, ditto Sanchez at MU.

Is it not to do with the same competition but as Broussia dropped down into the same competition as Arsenal?

Also can you not only register one player who has played in a European comp? I haven't a clue what way it works.

Auba hasn’t physically played or been part of a squad that has played in any type of Europa fixture this season so he is fine to play in it with Arsenal.

Yeah as mentioned Aubamayeng can't play in the Europa league because B.Dortmund have now dropped into the Europa League and could potentially face Arsenal even though its the Champions League he played in for them. The player I was thinking about is Bellerin, what do you think his chances are of getting a run out in tbe Europa League?

I was actually going to say the only player i would consider at arsenal is Bellerin mainly because he is arsenals only right back now Debuchy has left. He is young enough to play a couple of games a week.

Saying that arsenal could go to a back 3 in Europe and play someone like Reece Nelson as rwb.

The transfers I wanted to make have been scuppered so Aubameyang has been brought into the fray along with Pogba and Alli. Cant see him being able to outscore them being cup tied

Aubameyang will only have the League Games plus a Cup Final. No Fa Cup or Europe is off putting but as we have seen before this doesn't stop a Player scoring plenty of Points :?

Another poss is to play Pires role, gave a pretty good impersonation today, pity we did not see Lacazette for Iwobi that would in my view work well.
But until we get a proper defensive coach, we will struggle, don't think its just down to players we have but how they are set up, just about every attack we look likely to concede, Mavropanos is a big lump be interested to see him given a chance with Kos, as Mustafi confidence is so low, we have nothing to lose by trying him, our season pretty much in Prem over.
Had forgotten until news tonight where I was 60 years ago but saw a few goals that day as well, sadly never thought it would be only time saw Duncan Edwards play.
