INTERNATIONALS LATEST: Tottenham fans look away now… Rafael van der Vaart has been subbed at the Amsterdam ArenA clutching his hamstring.

Same old VDV, save those transfers you were planning

I know, it's shit isnt it. I would guess that most people couldnt give a toss about the internationals, I certainly dont and I have zero interest in England. Hate them interupting the premier league every few weeks and players coming back injured.

B*ll*cks! That's already Agonlahor, Aguero and VDV doubtful for me next week.... How many more will there be! It's bad enough having to put up with "competitive" internationals. But these micky mouse friendlies are just ridiculous

Nah. Under 10% is what I see as a differential.

He's nowhere near one.

Good things come to those who wait, and don't do early transfers.

Nothing new yet this morning...

Rafael van der Vaart injures hamstring as Holland draw with Switzerland - "The Holland coach, Bert van Marwijk, did not seem too concerned when asked about Van der Vaart's injury, saying only: "It is probably not too serious but the game against Germany [on Tuesday] comes too early.""

Rafael van der Vaart suffers hamstring injury - "Coach Bert van Marwijk confirmed after the match that the 28-year-old would not feature in their friendly against Germany on Tuesday."

For me, I signed VDV at £9.9M, so i'll be keeping him. Imo it's not worth releasing him for what is probably a minor injury and will probably keep him out for a maximum of 1 game turn. It's also a good thing he won't be playing on Tuesday.

We all watch for news on this injury I am sure.

Spurs next league game is not until Monday 21st so, if it's a minor niggle, he would be fit for that.

If not, a typical hamstring takes 2-3 weeks to mend and we might not see him until December.

'arry will no doubt play his cards close to his chest so you vDv owners may not have the info you need before the deadline.

This is just the sort of injury situation that pisses me off when its unclear wether the injury is only minor and the player will only miss one game or if its longer term. Just leaves you with the dilema of wether to keep him or sell him, particularly if you lose money if you sell and then get him back. Wish it was either one or the other.

If you bought him at 9.6 then he'll have to drop .2 before you lost any profit on him.

As he's actually still going up in net transfers as I write this, it should give us until right up to next weekend and I'm sure some more news will tell us one way or the other.

A little bit more encouraging,"it's probably just a mild sprain,with no long term damage" http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/12112011/ ... dutch.html

On the bright side, the other Dutch didn't pull or broke anything.

"Shanna, they bought their tickets, they knew what they were getting into. I say, let 'em crash"

This is what one buys into when investing in Mr VDV. It's all the more reason for trying to keep a carryover transfer (not that I am much of a role model), especially around international weeks.

I am going to sit on him (May have a bigger urge to twitch on Aguero or Agbonlahor before next weekend's deadline comes around).

VDV's Twitter quote:

"So very disappointed I won't play Germany in Hamburg on Tuesday, hope to be back real quick!"

I got killed last year not having VDV in. I remember he was always picking up niggles and was doubtful for almost every game but always seemed to make it. My gut says he'l start the next game.
