Defoe's prospects of playing on Monday seem as "iffy" as VDV's,and for the same reason - hamstring problem.
Makes me wonder if their training routines need reassessing.
Yes,there's Piennar, who was a favourite of mine when starring for Everton(who could yet be off to the ACN if SA win their appeal) who's disappeared from the radar at Spurs, and Kranjcar also.Maybe Bale will switch wings.

I think Bale switching wings is completely plausible if Arry thinks it will help them field the best team possible.

With very winable fixtures i'd almost rather just see Defoe and VDV take their time to heal. Start Pav in the hole, and Pienaar or Kranjcar on the wing, and dont risk tearing a hammy.

Jermain defoe is currently serving up salmon on channel four in gordon ramsey's live cookalong. Very strange. No mention of a dodgy hamstring yet but will keep you updated.

Well, surprise surprise it looks like he'll start for sure now:

Finally got rid of him for bale this week (should have done it 2 months ago). No regrets because the price rises and the fact that I no longer have the weekly stress. Not sure his hamstrings will last the festive schedule anyway.

He says it's salmon, but could it be a red herring?

I'll get me coat.

Passed fit and expected to start.

I dropped him for Walcott this week.

Walcott doesn't play so you know what's coming...

Yeah he was nowhere today, quite sluggish, and nothing he did made much of an impression. Might just straight swap for Bale.

Did we see the same game? I thought VDV played particularly well today.

His first half pass was incredible, but shame he won't get any bonus' for that.

Yeah I saw the game. Spurs were generally two gears behind normal pace for most of the game.
