Is it their coverage or just US feed? The general PGA Tour stuff is terrible, all out of sync, adverts every 3 minutes. I'd love SKy to be able to give it their usual golf coverage, but doubt that's possible.

They are saying that there will be one more hours coverage

so it looks like it is still the restricted coverage given out by the
Augusta rules

The BBC still have half of it

Sky did not mention that on SSNews

Beginning at the 2011 Masters, scheduled to take place the week of April 4-10, there will be an extra hour of live Tournament coverage Thursday and Friday, he said.

"Since our first telecast of the Masters in 1956, we have carefully maintained a tradition of high-quality programming within an appropriate broadcast window," said Payne.

"Now, with the proper infrastructure and resources in place, we are confident the additional coverage will meet the high standards of the millions of golf fans who enjoy viewing the Masters each April."

In the United States, the Masters will air on ESPN from 3 - 7:30 p.m. EDT on Thursday, April 7 and Friday, April 8.

Payne also announced that Sky Sports will join the BBC as a live broadcaster of the Masters during the 2011 Tournament.

The BBC, which now maintains an uninterrupted relationship with the Masters since 1986, will deliver the Tournament live on the weekend.

Sky Sports will televise Wednesday's Par 3 Contest and the four Tournament rounds Thursday to Sunday live.

Bad new. Bad news. Terrible news. That Murray bloke just loves himself so much. This is really, really bad news. Why can't they just leave some things alone? The Masters being on the BBC, along with The Open is what adds that bit something different about it.

Because some things being left alone means you have a bigoted cranky old ex pro talking absolute jibberish throughout the golf and a presenter that was a footballer without any man bits!

Hurrah to the SKY and off with the BBC!!

This is how the BBC are selling it http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/golf/9020380.stm

BBC to continue Masters coverage

The BBC will continue to broadcast the Masters live on terrestrial TV after signing a new deal to cover the first major of the golfing year.
There will also be comprehensive coverage of the Augusta showpiece on Radio 5 live and the BBC Sport website.
BBC TV will have live coverage of the final two rounds of the event, which runs from 7-10 April in 2011.

Phil Mickelson won his third Green Jacket earlier this year, finishing three shots clear of Lee Westwood.

Barbara Slater, director of BBC Sport, said: "The BBC is very proud we have broadcast the Masters every year since 1986 and we are delighted that this new deal enables us to continue this relationship.

"It means terrestrial audiences can continue to enjoy live coverage of the concluding rounds of this hugely prestigious tournament on BBC TV, alongside our comprehensive coverage on radio and online."

The BBC will share coverage of with Sky Sports, which will televise all four rounds live as well as Wednesday's Par 3 Contest.

"We consider ourselves fortunate to have two committed television partners who are able to reach both new and established audiences throughout the United Kingdom," said Billy Payne, chairman of Augusta National Golf Club and the Masters Tournament.

"This agreement was successful in both preserving a long-term partnership and adding a new dimension to our coverage in the UK."
It is expected that coverage of the 75th Masters will reach more than 200 countries in 2011.
