Just got in to watch 2nd half of Chelsea game, and discovered my Prem Plus (NTL / Virgin) is not working. It's working in the pub, so must just be mine that's off. It says I can pay for it (£8!!!) but I am already subscribed to Prem+, so I'm not going to f*cking pay for it. Their help centre is closed (what a surprise... )

Is there anything I can do? :(

Anyone having the same problem forget it - apparently it's down all over the country according to the service line announcement.

Sky's PremPlus is working. You're not missing too much though.

Sorry I should say that the VirginNTL 'version' is apparently experiencing problems all over the country - I assume this means they work differently somehow. Maybe it's not just the channel itself, maybe its something like their register of who has subscribed and who hasn't, or something like that. Just guessing obviously. Not much else to do for the next 20 minutes.

You have to pay an extra fee to watch the match.

Oh no, and there was me thinking I could just get it without being a subscriber. I do wonder about you sometimes Mike. Do you ever listen to yourself speak?

Oh, I get it. You didn't actually read the thread properly - you just wanted to write something so you could have your name as the last poster on 20+ threads on the 24hr board. Sad really.

I read this week that there have been a lot of complaints to Virgin over viewing problems. Perhaps you should think about half price Sky with a free sky plus box (see other thread) :)

And now the same again for Watford v Chelsea

Is anyone else trying to watch via Virgin / NTL? There is no service announcement this time, the phone line just puts you through to a queue and plays music, but as it supposedly closes at 5pm on Saturdays, I'm not sure if there is actually anyone there anyway!

EDIT: It has just suddenly come on - 19 minutes into the game.

And again today! This is a f*cking joke.

Will put in a complaint on Tuesday morning and try to get out of my 12 month contract (now 6 months in).

I never had any problems with NTL in 7 years that I've been with them, so I'm loathe to change, but ever since Virgin took over it's nothing but problems, wonder why?

Anyone else having difficulties yet again, or is this thread purely my own problem?

Commiserations, sj. For what it's worth, Virgin/Telewest is fine.

Incidentally, fault reporting doesn't need to wait until Tuesday. This freephone hotline puts you through to NTL/Virgin:
0800 1831986 until 22:00hrs

Other non-premium rate numbers can be viewed via 'SayNoTo0870' site:
http://www.saynoto0870.com/companysearch.php

Good luck.

Sam , do you happen to know, is that 0800 number still free from an O2 mobile?

EDIT: No, O2 website confirms prices for 0800 numbers. Getting ripped off by everyone today. :(

If you have a landline with Virgin phone just dial 150.

I got through and was told it was a National problem for Virgin and was "being looked into".

Think I'll join Sky tomorrow.

Cheers Graham / Sam.

My house phone seems to be broken at the moment, haven't used it for months so didn't realise. I just sent an official complaint to NTL, will see what they say. Hopefully I can cancel my contract and join Sky too. I wonder how many more people are saying this tonight, if there are two of just on the FISO board alone...

EDIT: Wahoo, looks like it's starting to come through now, it's blocky and slow, but it's coming. Just a third of the match missed this week then.
