Hello, hola, bonjour and ciao!

Yes, the Fantasy League Classic World Cup site is now live at http://classicwc.fantasyleague.com

Pick your squad of 15 before the competition kicks-off at 17:00 BST on Friday, 9th June and compete for prizes worth over £25,000, including a first prize of £10,000 and a dream holiday to Brazil.

If you enter on or before 15th May, you'll also be entered into a special prize draw to win an International replica shirt of your choice.

Also, for every one World Cup team and one 06/07 Premiership team combo, you'll receive another World Cup team absolutely free!

As per usual, transfers are unlimited prior to the start of the competition.

Good luck!

Mr Green

I'm having a few problems - have registered for a team, but when I try to select my squad it keeps resetting to a totally empty squad - I can't get beyond about the 3rd or 4th player :(

never played ofl football games before and know they've suffered problems. i was just wondering if the supersubs thing allows you to make transfers in advance as well as changing around you're squad.

A few quick answers to the various postings:

If your team is reverting back to a blank teamsheet after selecting a few players, that sounds like a cookie issue on your browser, but this may need further investigation by the Development Team at FL HQ.

If you sort by price, it will sort players first by position, then by price. If you only have strikers left to fill up, obviously it will then only list strikers in price order.

You have to remove Supersubs before making a transfer and then re-set once the transfers are made. There's no way of getting round this.

Obviously they'll be plenty of player list deletions (plus a few additions) before the tournament starts...

Will be setting up my next team later on hopefully.

Seeing as I always do OFL classic I am getting sucked in by the BOGOF offer :D Not that I will be doubling my chances given my ineptitude at these things.

I've only played Telegraph FF before, so bear with me.
Does it cost to join OFL world cup?
Do you only score points for goals, assists and clean sheets?
How does the squad work?
How many transfers?

It's £5 per entry. However if you decide to pre-register a team for OFL Classic [season-long FF] for next season at the same time you get a 2nd world cup team for free.

Yes, points are only for the things you mentioned, no MOTM nonsense.

Squad works simply by allowing you to rotate players into the team as the fixtures crop up. Supersubs allows you to automate the changes so you can players automatically rotated into the starting line-up when they have a fixture.

12 transfers in total with no more than 4 per phase [5 phases in total].

Hope that helps Axel, just ask if you need more.

Suggest you have a look at the 2006/7 page too.

Interesting... I think I like it. It might also be worth going for the Gold package for those who expect to have a chance in the MotM competitions.

Plus no mouse mats... yippee!

Hmmm, its not exactly difficult to pick a squad tho is it??? First draft I could fit 5 strikers in!!

Will log into F&E league shortly

Edit: ok ok, ive read the rules now, only 3 strikers allowed  makes it even easier to pick a squad tho!!
