Decent looking team!

At a quick glance I would take out G Cahill, decent player but in a poor team conceding far too many goals. For the same price you could get Shawcross or Huth of Stoke or Jones of Utd.

Maybe take out Santos ? hasnt started many games so far for Arsenal, could come good but facing a battle with K Gibbs for the left back spot.

And maybe swap Defoe for Adebayor? Reckon adebayor with start more, either with defoe or with Van de Vaart depending on which formation spurs play ....... or find an extra million and put Suarez in!

Cheers for the reply.
Was thinking saurez, after he started scoring again today. But the lack of European games worries me! Adabayour looks good value, so is the running.
The defence is the major problem, with Dawson injured for months, Santos second choice and like you say Cahill playing for Bolton and I hear he is injured. The Stoke defence seems a good place to start with possibly Botswinga, P.Jones and Kompany all decent options.
Even thinking of replacing given for Hart, just for Europe!

Hmmm didnt realise Dawson was out for so long.

Would probably take out Dawson, Cahill and Santos then as Defoe will still score goals when he play and should still play a decent amount of games.

FS Record: Dreamteam Mini Leagues also ran :(
GK S Given AST £3.0m 27
DEF P Jagielka EVE £4.0m 20
DEF G Cahill BOL £3.5m 13 > P Jones 3.5m
DEF M Dawson TOT £4.0m 3 > R Shawcross 3.5m
DEF A Santos ARS £2.5m -3 > K Walker 3.0m [or Kaboul if you prefer]
MID J Mata CHE £3.5m 18
MID D Silva MCY £5.5m 34
MID Nani MAN £6.0m 28
STR J Defoe TOT £4.5m 25
STR W Rooney MAN £8.0m 38
STR S Aguero MCY £5.5m 75

Sorts out your defence a bit and leaves Defoe in as your wildcard player if you like. If he misses out on league minutes to an Adebayor / VDV partnership, then maybe he'll be let loose on Shamrock Rovers etc. in Europa. I Gibbs picks up another injury in next game or two [he's due one] then could keep Santos and ditch Jags.

Hi, I'm a newbie. Was basically looking for some advice on transfers for up coming window. So any advice would be welcome.
Here's my team as it stands. Rooney, Mata and Santos were my last 3 transfers in TW1.

GK S Given AST £3.0m 27
DEF P Jagielka EVE £4.0m 20
DEF G Cahill BOL £3.5m 13
DEF M Dawson TOT £4.0m 3
DEF A Santos ARS £2.5m -3
MID J Mata CHE £3.5m 18
MID D Silva MCY £5.5m 34
MID Nani MAN £6.0m 28
STR J Defoe TOT £4.5m 25
STR W Rooney MAN £8.0m 38
STR S Aguero MCY £5.5m 75

Dawson 4m  Jones 3.5m
Santos 2.5m  Shawcross 3.5m
Defoe 4.5m  Dzeko 4m

Surely Dzeko is going to be playing even more than he already has been now, what with Tevez throwing his final tantrum tonight. This would mean keeping faith with Cahill, but that isn't the worst position to be in I don't think.

Goal for Santos in champs league!

So you reckon he will become 1st choice then? It would be very handy to know for certain.

It just seems like Gibbs is 1st choice at the moment now fit, or is that just because wenger is giving Santos time to settle? or will there be equal rotation?

I know santos is playing ahead of gibbs in tonights match, but Van Persie & Ramsey are both on the bench aswell as Gibbs so think that just shows he is resting a few players if poss.

If santos was a certain starter for most games then i would keep him, but if he is going to be rotated with Gibbs then i would be tempted to take him out .

Lets see if he starts at the weekend aswell, if so poss a good sign that he will become 1st choice, if on the bench then who knows ?

Since he signed, Arsenal have had 6 games.
Tonight was his second start (and 5 minute sub appearance v Dortmund).

Risky to assume he's first choice.
Although Gibbs is supposedly weak (and injury prone); so Santos, by default will be first choice.

Cheers for all the replys.
I think I'm down to two options now. I'm going going to stick with Santos as it's along window and can see scoring a few when he does play. As for Defoe, it's a tricky one as he got me Star man and scored last night. It's just I can see others doing better.
So my options are.

Walker - Jagielka
Wilson - Dawson
Van Persie - Defoe

Or

Shawcross - Dawson
Jones/Huth - Cahill
Suarez - Defoe

I would go with the 2nd one of

Shawcross - Dawson
Jones/Huth - Cahill
Suarez - Defoe

Tough call on who to pick out of Jones or Huth though

Cheers, but i think Schwarzer is not an option now.

Might have to be:
Given for Szczesny, Santos for P. Jones and Nani for Ramsey.
or
Given for Szczesny, Santos for Olsson and Nani for Bale

Any thoughts? Might have to risk Cahill and hope he goes to a top four team early in Jan.

Cheers. Iv always favoured all out attack, so VP was the only real choice.
I really like those transfers, but am really struggling on a final decision!
Another option is Nani for Cleverley, Santos for Vermaelan and Given for Hart.

Why so eager to dump Nani? That's the type of decision that can back to bite you on the arse if he finds form, which, judging by the Wolves game, he might have. He's still one of the highest scoring midfielders and there arent many better when he's on form.

I'd be dumping Given, Santos and Cahill and bringing in Friedel, P.Jones and Enrique or Vorm, P.Jones/Vermaelen and Walker

Basically Nani has to go free up money to sort out my injuries.
Iv pretty much decided on Given for Szczney and Santos for
P Jones.
It's just I can't decide on either Parker or Ramsey for
Nani. Obviously Ramsey is cheaper, so any thoughts?

Nani for Parker
or
Nani for Ramsey with an extra 1mil

Here's my team

B.Friedel

K.Walker
M.Wilson
P.Jones
J.Enrique

J.Mata
Nani
D.Silva

R.V.Persie
W.Rooney
S.Aguero

Got 0.5mil left.

Option 1
B.Friedel  M.Vorm
M.Wilson  V.Kompany
Nani  G.Bale

Option 2
B.Friedel  W.Szczesny
M.Wilson  V.Kompany
Nani  T.Cleverley.

Any help? Maybe risk putting Suarez in for Rooney, then I can get bale and Kompany in??
