I think TSO stated part of it - it's about avoiding the minus scores. They can still get a duck, but they can't have a wicketless innings and there are points for catches and stumpings, so they are far more likely to go positive than any of the others. Bowlers followed by batsmen who bowl are the biggest risk, I think (which does make me wonder why I just brought Bopara back in!)

I see Trescothick, one of my great hopes to get some useful points, has flopped again in Somerset's second innings to continue his dismal end to the season.

Doesn't seem to be too many points around again today but Dobbo has gained 75 points from Rashid's excellent innings. Surely he has too much ground to make up on either ZipNolan or myself but then who knows?

Just a couple of adjustments to the above table TSO. READ should actually have 80 points so far by my reckoning as he caught the last man in the Hampshire 1st innings and also took a catch in their 2nd innings to add on to the 2 catches he had already taken on the 1st day. Plus TRESCOTHICK has taken a couple of catches following his 1st innings duck so should show as minus 5, I believe.

I know it probably doesn;t matter in the grand scheme of things, but Keedy and Bresnan didn't deserve their minus 25's did they? I understand they hadn't taken any wickets when you did the scores, but still did during the innings and when you add the scores up for the next day i think the 25 needs adding back on to whatever score they get. If you can stick me a couple of 100 points on top too i'd be most grateful

Thanks yet again TSO and I thoroughly enjoyed the unique scoring format you employed. As previously mentioned it probably needs a little adapting if TSO is willing and able to repeat the competition next season but basically it was good to have a different scoring system to all the usual formats.
