FFS, im mean FFS. 5 carrages, at peak? piss off. Why am i paying more to go on an effin packed train. I don't get that? Am i getting a better service? No. And when i finally get a seat half way along journey im squashed in cos people are standing, the seats are too narrow for me, i usually need 1 and 1/3 seats and the seats are so friggin hard, the head rest is all wrong and it was so slow hot and low on air. The journey took 1 hour 10 mins. Its the 21st century, the trains should be able to go faster than 50 mph. I am just sick of paying money for shit, when i should be getting better VFM and making life easier. I mean, even with student card it cost over 30 quid.
Why are the trains so shit? Answers on a post card please.

Those who run the transport system in Britain are pretty much a clique of who knows how to work it. They hold all the aces. Basically meaning big pay for them, getting loads of holidays and sitting on their ass doing little work, and average customer has to pay for the sh1t service and big fares because of it

Basically loads of people want to be on the same tiny piece of our tiny little island all at the same time. The infrastructure can't cope.

Had to drive into London on Monday. Horrible.

Avoid London. Avoid this hassle. Simple.

I travel to London everyday and I think my train service is actually very good (though expensive) - never have to stand and I am the last stop before London.

Isn't that a propaganda picture?

That's the Piccadilly line and the imaginary crowds going to the emirates isnt it?

Perhaps they are the 10,000 missing bods..

When Arsene Wenger leaves Arsenal Network South East should snap him up to become Executive Director.
Then, although the official line being trains are full, there would be plenty of available seats.
Almost immediately half the passengers will magically believe that the service will be the best in Europe within 3 years.
Despite that they can expect the best rolling stock to be sold off to Virgin trains serving Manchester and RENFE (Red Nacional de los Ferrocarriles EspaƱoles).
These will be replaced by a slower German made train, an Israeli built model that despite being used on other networks has never been as good as it should, and a South Korean make that has trouble starting.

FS Record: TFFOSM MotW in 2008 and MotM in 2003. 78th overall in TFFO for 2002/3 and 2003/4
It was starved of investment for years (as were the water companies) by the Tories before they privatised them. The backlog of investment was huge and can almost never be made up now so we end up with a very inadequate system.
