Opinions please on Rooney to RvP. I think Man U and Arsenal have pretty similar fixtures in easy / difficulty (and this is the bit I'm really looking for opinion on). As it stands RvP is on fire, Rooney seems to have broken since being red carded for England.

A pretty straight forward switch you might think but my track record on this one isn't good - RvP in team at start when he was having a mare, switched him out and hes banging goals in for fun. put Rooney in as he was the man in form, now he's having a mare. So, I'm doubting myself or maybe I'm just a jinx !

Ideally I'd want both as Arsenal and United have cracking fixtures into mid-January. Can you drop anyone else to bring RVP in or is that not practical?

If it's one or the other then I'd leave things as they are for the time being since there's only one game before November 19th. United's match is home to Sunderland so a good chance for Rooney to get going again. Maybe see how the land lies after the international break.

When the little pea plays, Rooney often plays deep, so i'm dumping him for RVP too.

I thought Rooney's form picked up last year when Hernandez started playing more?

Anyway the issue of RVP prior to an international break (but at home to WBA) is a challenging one. Like a lot of people I guess I have Rooney and Aguero up front and so bringing in RVP is not easy. Rooney's fixtures look good, even if his form isn't...wonder of actually whether Aguero is the fall guy, but likely to wait (and watch Arsenal on Saturday from behind the sofa)

Rooney has always scored goals (and scored TFF points) in patches. If you look through his record, he's always been that way. Just as you think he won't ever score again, he will then score 6 in 3 games or something, then go on a run of 5 games without a goal or TFF point. The trick with him is to gamble on when he's going to go on one of his amazing scoring spree's!

With Rooney currently on a dry spell, I'd take him out at your peril, as he could go on a good run at any time!

Im usually pretty good at hitting strikers on their "hot streaks" and dropped Rooney for RVP after he got the red in Euro qualifiers. That stuff always seems to get in his head. Im not switching back at this point but my gut tells me that Torres believe it or not is about to score 6-8 goals between now and December 31st. Aside from Arsenal his movement and drive have been like the Torres of old lately. Plus if you really want to be honest about it, he had 2 for sure tap ins on Saturday if Sturridge and A Cole didn't suck so bad! If I were you I would let Rooney be and pick up Torres.

Rooney is playing a very deep central midfield roll in the champions league again tonight. Do we think this is a temporary switch to midfield, or something that Fergie is trying to make permanent with the form of Hernandez and Welbeck?!
