I will keep a keen eye on this thread as I have yet to find one that is actually any good.
I'd prefer one that works flat to the top of the can rather than the side (if you know what I mean?!) :D

Come on now FISO cooks!

Mine seems to do both.
It is white and looks quite well made but I have no idea when I bought it, where I bought it or how much it cost.
I did have one that looked nice but was shite and never really worked.

Not really much help but at least I know I have a good tin opener.

How often do you need a tin opener?

I don't use that many tins and most of them have ring pulls. Are you all still going through your WWII stockpiles?

Mine is also white. It looks well made but is getting a bit rough around the edges.

I picked mine up about 10 years ago and its cost me thousands of £s.

Its name is Claire :|

@Murf - if you buy 'value' stuff - they don't give you the luxury of a ring pull

Also true that Tuna never has a ring pull.

Also Murf, they may have ring pulls, but how often does the ring of the pull bit come away from the tin, thus meaning you have to use a can opener?

Happens to me every now and then.

Not to mention those fat bustards who like those Fray Bentos pies? Do they come with a ring pull? (although are they classed as food?) :?

Have used Culinare Lift Off for more than a decade; still works perfectly.

It cuts into side of can leaving no jagged edge and costs under a tenner:
