Well I have been a non-believer up until now but Yakubu seems to keep on scoring whilst more fashionable picks like Sturridge seem to be faltering (and getting subbed).

Starting to think that maybe the Yak is a major bargain at under £6m and with 2 home games coming up it could be time to take a punt on his run continuing?

I backed the yak several weeks ago.

The way I see it is that every team will eventually score goals. He looks like the only one in that team capable of doing so.

A bit like Arsenal and RVP

you cant argue with his stats. Higher points per game than sturridge and almost 2m cheaper. Will be selling ba for him with wildcard next week.

His stats for shots to goals are pretty surprising

(stats just taken from player stats on Sky Sports Football App for iPhone)

eg

RVP (£13.2m)

Goals 21 in 108 shots (19%)
Shots on Target 50
Shots off Target 58

Yakubu (£5.8m)

Goals 13 in 33 shots (39%)
Shots on Target 18
Shots off Target 15

I'm not sure why I don't have him actually...

Me too. Did Sturridge  Yak.
Wanted to wait in case of injuries but Sturridge are falling and Yakubu is rising tonight.

Decided to take the plunge on this transfer myself yesterday.

Saw MOTD and the Yak was unfortunate not to bag another brace yesterday, he's looking dangerous.

With wildcards now being used, and this being a DGW, I see Sturridge  Yak being a massively popular transfer over the next 2 weeks. Slightly disappointed to see Sturridge was something like 4 transfers short of going down last night, although Yak did get his price rise. I reckon he'll be on for several more before the next GW.

Sturridge seems to like a yo-yo right now, especially with the wildcarders who will take him out to avoid any drop. Soon, everyone will go for him again though, I'm sure of it.

Can't ignore the Yak right now. I wouldn't say he is looking spritely, but he is looking likely. :!:

Also gives me moolah to upgrade one of my other underperforming hacks to a higher priced underperforming hack. :|

Did the same last night also with the WC. May even reverse it once all the rises and drops are out the way.

he's yellow flagged so his target is actually closer to 40,000. will still drop soon, but not for at least the next day or so i'd say.

Not for me. Hes been performing well above expectation and I cant see his run continuing playing for such a poor team.

Blackburn have scored 17 goals in 10 games with 8 of those coming from Yakubu. Although they arent setting the league alight, they are still scoring goals and yak is the biggest threat.

Pointless to move from Sturridge to Yakubu with Kalou and Drogba both going to the ACN. If on wildcard it's a bit of a different story but if Sturridge is the biggest casualty in your sides then you are very well placed indeed.

Sturridge is a great price although Chelsea aren't firing. I'm sure we can assumed Chelsea will score as much as Blackburn so when they hit form they'll score more.

He's scored from 39% of shots so he's either become the best finisher in the world or is running hot. Hes also only average like 6 or 7 over the last 5 years.

Can we all agree to stop transferring Sturridge out and Yak in until next week at least rather than forcing the hands of the rest of us?

Have a go at the TFF tinkerman game if you must meddle so soon!

It'll be interesting to see how the price changes go.
I'm pretty sure he was over 200% last night and didn't go up. Now he's on 258% but no doubt people will start offloading him tonight.

I switched from Yakubu to Studge in 5 a.m., glad I at least avoided negative points.

That tips me over the edge...wildcard 1 played.
