Unlucky Neill, must admit when I checked the results Sunday night I thought I'd be in with a chance on 151 points, alas I only finished in 17th position.

Colin

I've done it again  :x

Lost on count-back again too

But the real bummer was that Aguilar missed a tiddler on the 18th green that would have won it for me (van Zyl would have come 4th instead of jt 3rd).

Unbelievable!

Something tells me I'm not going to win a weekly this year

If it's any consolation (probably not!), the other team won on "position points" rather than time of entry (103-101), but the point remains that it did indeed come down to Aguilar's missed putt...which is quite ironic seeing that the Chilean was in Craig's team rather than yours!

Yes indeed, can get quite complicated, this golf scoring malarky!

Good luck in The Fall Finish though, toffee! I used up all of my transfers a good while ago now and my current crop appear to be quite lazy at this time of year

        1. Needed someone for the 2 S African events.

        2. Saw he'd had a good finish to his year on the Nationwide Tour (has qualified for the PGA Tour nxt yr)

        3. Saw he was high up on the Sunshine Tour order of merit, so would be motivated to do well.

        4. And he was only 0.5 :D

Quite simple really........though I see only 0.21% of teams have brought him in in the last 3 weeks :?

And assuming there are around 2000 teams in the OFL game, that would be just my 4 teams then

Dont give away the secret of studying form and event entries Shaun - everyone will be doing it ;0)

Unlucky on the week - bigger concern now is if and when Mulroy WDs due to being drunk the past 48 hrs

That's not quite true - it means that 0.21% of transfers made in the last three weeks have involved bringing in Mulroy.

The Buying Guide actually states that Mulroy is in 1.36% teams (at time of going to press), so a fair few more than just four.

I guess another draw towards Mulroy was the fact that he was runner-up in the last European Tour event to be staged in South Africa - the Joburg Open back in January.

I admire your skill in fantasy golf, toffee. It can't all be luck! I try the same at the start of the season, but when the inevitable happens and I start badly, my interest just falls away.

Unlucky again Shaun,
I thought that you having both winners would have given you the edge, obviously not.

Seems like we have been here before. IMO there has to be a better way of splitting teams that tie - best average weekly score for example.

Hopefully justice will be done and the fall league will be yours! :)

PS. Good spot for Mulroy - I didn't even think he was available to pick!

I think it is because Mr Green is still smarting after losing out to a final putt at Staverton to FISO's worst ever putter in history, and so all FISO members have to pay

Well done, toffeelover, on the top score.

The tiebreak does seem to have been needed more than usual this season. To soften the blow whenever someone loses out like this, perhaps Fantasy League could offer a free entry to the following year's competition?

Ahh, I see.

So 1.36% of 2000 teams is 27, less any unmaintained teams with him in. Leaves about 4 I reckon

Interesting point about how many transfers are being done at this time of the competition though. Some (eg MU Fan :) ) will have already used all of theirs, others will be saving the few they have, while others will be doing 3 in an attempt at the weekly prize (Padmole  ). Add to that the unmaintained teams not doing any and it's quite difficult to guess a figure :?

Good idea for a competition :P

I reckon it would be an average of about 0.8 transfers per team last week, so roughly 1600 transfers in all. Am I close Mr Green?

I've burnt all my weekly shots - not least last week when I missed the deadline last week and had players left on the bench :P
