Rules

1. The template for your team is Alan Hansen's XI.

Van Der Sar
Hutton, Ferdinand, Vidic, Evra
Bullard, Gerrard, Modric, Cahill
Torres, Camara

2. You must make at least one and no more than two changes to this team by the 14th August 2008.

3. You must enter your team in the superleague as soon as possible. The chairman will distribute the league name and password by PM to all the players.

Each chairman will post the league table on a Wednesday (or as often as he sees fit).

4. Post your starting team in the following manner

Quote:
cech

eboue
agger
terry out, r. ferdinand in
warnock

bentley
parker
gerrard
robben

berbatov out, rooney in
johnson

so that everyone can clearly see your free transfers.

5. Following the start of the season manage your team in the normal way.

6. The leagues will be open so that everyone can see everyone else's teams.

7. Your team name must include your FISO name and the word eggcup.

8. Each league contains 12 players and there will be a 3 up, 3 down promotion and relegation at the end of the season.

9. The winner of each league wins a bespoke egg cup and a cash prize

Premiership £100
Division 1 £75
Division 2 £50
Division 3 £25

10. When you make a transfer you should post on the relevant thread giving the changes made and reasons for it. You must also use the following template:

Quote:
Current Team
Reina
Terry
Lescott
Carvalho
Clichy
Lampard
Ronaldo
Arteta
Ballack  J. Cole
Drogba
Adebayor  Berbatov

Transfers Remaining: 0
Current Cost: £48.6m

Reason for Transfer(s):
Ballack out for the season.
Berb 3 for 1 over Adebayor

11. There will be a cup competition which runs automatically alongside the league competition. I will announce the weeks for the cup competition when all the leagues have been finalised. There may also be a Champions League and UEFA Cup competition.

12. Further details can be found on the egg cup admin thread.

13. Above all, enjoy yourselves, have a bit of banter and may the best man win (although it'll probably be murf as usual ).

To avoid any of the problems that have been encountered over the last couple of seasons (Ashton's injury/Robben's transfer) I propose that we just take Hansen's team as the template and not worry about any last minute changes. He is shit at this game anyway so he probably won't beat any of us.

I'm in.

Are you proposing that none of us get to make the traditional 1 or 2 changes before we begin? I'd be against that, it would make the first few weeks pretty boring (I enjoyed the banter surrounding last minute injuries etc) but your game/your rules. :D

No that's not what I'm saying. You still have to make at least one and no more than two changes to Hansen's team but if he makes any last minute changes then we just ignore them. It will make the admin a whole lot easier and quicker.

Anyway I am in. Let the battle commence.

And my transfers are done, well first draft anyway subject to ubiquitous change. :D

Even if my team isn't in, you know I'll be there.

Depends - it could get devastated. Howsabout we take his team as it stands at a fixed time about 2 weeks before k.o. - say August 1st for simplicity?

It's already looking likely that Cahill won't be fit for the start of the season but how likely is it that 'Hansen' will make any changes to his original line-up by 01/08/08 :?: :?

I see your point, but I think we just need a starting XI. Hansen has provided it so let's just go with that.

It's sh1te enough already, we'll be in big trouble if a couple get injured (or Cahill doesn't recover).

Same boat for everybody so we may as well get on with it like you say. Can't see any of us winning the million points though

As you say we're all in the same boat but if the original line-up makes it to 16/08/08 with two injured players then we're going to have a lot of similar (if not identical) line-ups in each of the leagues (plus we'll be stuck with Camara for two/three weeks  )...

Sorry boss, I wont be adding my teams until the middle of next week. Im not buying any FF credits on any games until the 15th

But that shouldnt stop you from setting up the next league.

(car insurance & tax can be blamed for this)

I shall enter my team when i buy the credits too. Probably at some point over the weekend I would think.

Looking forward to this one, lets see if we can be the strongest league in the eggcup this time (I think me, jester and binky were last time  )

I'll have to have a proper look at his team now i suppose...

7 entered so far and the promise by murf, Karrde, kizkiz and The Jezster that they will enter soon means that we are just waiting for binky to confirm his participation before being able to set up the next league.
