That team is a bit bizarre it had used 10 by Nov 21st and hasn't used any since. It has the fashionable players of today already, but a bit too much MC. I'm looking forward to having a late blitz, I've never been in that position before with loads to burn. I think there will be some opportunities later on with the cup and re arranged games.

I'm feeling very depressed with my own top team. Was knocking on the door of the top 100 (reaching 130-ish) literally 2 weeks ago and have made 2 calamitous transfers and dropped down to 490th!

Now hoping for a top 100 finish at best (after having already spent the £50k in my mind only a short time ago)

Still plenty of time for things to get messy but guess it depends on how many transfers people have left. I've given up on top 100 now so think its time to concentrate on the super league.

I am currently 200 points clear in my superleague so fancy my chances in that one :wink:

. Maybe need to focus on the Super 20's as I am in no-man's land regarding any other realistic challenges for my top team.

Has been a good lesson for a serious assault next season as have never even been near the top 1000 before.

What can I say, it won't last! I'll let the Bear PM me his transfers and then I can really worry. That said 2 of the 3 teams have plenty left! 1's a bit short but that's my works league team and that is involved in various side competitions so necessitated more transfers.

Andy E and Andy L needn't bother getting involved either!

Not discounting anyone in reality but a 100 point lead should be hard to peg back now so how far down does that go?

Scary times...but exciting. If I never do anything else Fantasy Football wise , 3 teams at the top this far into the season is a darn good effort in my book.

Right then - 40 points a week to the end of the year required. Approx 50 a week so far. Very basic I know but seems about right. So what's 40 points a week - 10/11 playing, 2 goals, 2 assists, 2 clean sheets. Never that simple but I'll take this logic I guess and see where it takes me. My missus has just become interested in Football now that a nice little holiday may result from my over indulgence. Told her it's a long shot but that bit aint registering.......I didn't say it wouldn't be Skegness though!

I blame SAF for the demise of my MU Bloc side slipping to the bottom of my 5 teams. Getting one of the other 4 into this is my goal, and mybe two of Bruce's teams could sandwich one of mine? :lol:

Bang on track old beans! You keep burning those transfers up and when you get within 10 I'm off! (or that's the cunning plan anway)...it will never work like that with a league table with so much quality in it. Typical - pick a year when all the big guns get their weapons out. (ooh er)

Just posted this up on that "other" Forum debating if a player out of the current top 50 can win TFF this year. Obviously I hope not:

I'm not so sure it won't be someone top 50! I'll give my reasons:

1. Unless the average score is going to go way up then it suggests that the main bandwagons have been and gone. RVP's was crazy, Citeh's start won't be repeated this year, Dempsey - more hatricks etc etc. You had a bit of Berba last year and the Citeh defence came good at the end BUT I'm not sure the big points aint already in the bag.

2. FA Cup Final is not the last game (I admit the same as last year) 10 fixtures last day again.

3. Fixture postponements - have there been any? Plus were in the 6th round of the cup soon and most teams have atleast 3 Spurs players in it (or do they ) Where are all these 3 for 1's etc. Yes they'll pop up but then they have to deliver. Far Far fewer than last year which tells me transfers have to have been used to keep up with the early scoring rate. I've hit virtually every good bandwagon and the mistakes are minimal so again transfers have to have been used quite readily.

4. Euro Championships - IF the premiership has been tied up THEN a lot of teams will start to rest International players plus the players themselves may obtain the odd knock and preserve their poor weary legs.I'm not convinced it won't go the wire but May is not going to be the time to make up gaps!

5. Citeh Block - Somebody would need a repeat and quite honestly none of the top teams can put together a run of clean-sheets. Everton are having a go at the moment but now they're not playing and then their fixtures are not that appealing. (that said Citeh and Chelsea clean sheets BUT at home!)

6. Quite simply the Leaderboard coverage...too many good players and too many players with multiple teams. They can cover the moves and the main transfer opportunities.

Fair play if i'm wrong, I hold my hands up, but I'll be staggered if one of the current top 50 don't lift the trophy. 50th position is near 80 points back! That's a lot given the transfers left the top team has!

I think you'll find that 17 seasons ago Frosty Casino came from 136,456th place at the end of February to win by a country mile.

...and he didn't have Del Horno. :shock:
