6 players signed up for this challenge, with the decision made to play each of the 4 games (Hoity Toity, Hacienda, Santiago & Wallenstein) as 5 player variants.

To make this workable, we will play in a round robin style with each game played 6 times (each individual player sitting out each game once)

Therefore there will be 6 rounds of games, kicking off at approximately fortnightly intervals. Players will score 5 points for a win, 3 for 2nd, 2 for 3rd, 1 for 4th & 0 for last. With each player taking part in 20 of the 24 games, the max. score will be 100 points.

Players - AKNel1, Blahblah, Bspittles, Fancy Dan, Jeffersdn & Kizkiz

ROUND 1

HT 1 AKNel1 Fancy Dan blahblah bspittles kizkiz
Hac 1 AKNel1 blahblah bspittles kizkiz jeffersdn
Sant 1 AKNel1 Fancy Dan bspittles kizkiz jeffersdn
Wall 1 AKNel1 Fancy Dan blahblah kizkiz jeffersdn

Quick update on round 1

Hacienda

Into the final stages of the game - maybe 1 or 2 rounds left. Current scores AKNel 56, Jeffers 47, kizkiz 36, Bspittles 35 & blahblah 31

Hoity Toity

Probably somewhere between a third and half way through. Probably the most time consuming of all the games. Current positions, 1st - Blahblah, 2nd - Bspittles, Tied 3rd - Fancy Dan & Kizkiz with last place AKNel1

Santiago

Just finishing round 6 of 9, always hard to tell whose winning in this one as it all gets decided after the last round.

Wallenstein

Into the action phases of Summer year 2, so not long left to play. Half time scores saw Kizkiz leading on 22, Fancy Dan 17, Jeffers 16, AKNel1 15 & Blahblah 7. I thought Kizkiz had the best of the province setup round & that appears to have panned out correctly in year one. It will be interesting to see if he can hold onto that early lead with some key battles set to be fought out in the Autumn...

Overall

A real mixed bag for everyone at this stage, the Santiago result could well be key at this stage as it looks like we could have at least 3 different winners in the other 3 games.

Dissappointing to hear my quarter final opponent knows what he's doing. I better work out how to play the game before I place too many more starting armies! :?

Update

Kizkiz clearly having the best of round 1, although the other 4 all have a game in hand on both him and the other round 1 winner (me)

Round 1

Just Hoity Toity left to finish & I've managed to prove that hugging the Tortoise is a viable strategy in this game as I've moved through from last to first since the last update and should win from that position. Fancy Dan & Kizkiz will both be looking to make late charges as they are currently 4th and 5th.

This should tighten up the overall league considerably. Meanwhile, lets take a look at round 2.

Hacienda
Approaching halfway (round 7) & little to pick and choose between all 5 so far. I'm sitting this one out & currentr scores are Jeffers 22, Fancy dan 21, Kizkiz & Bspittles 17 & blahblah 13

Hoity Toity
About 1/3 of the way through and again I've been left for dead in the early stages, Bspittles again off to a flyer, with Fancy dan hot on his tale. Blahblah handily placed in 3rd with Jeffers just behind him in 4th. Plenty of time for everything to change though

Santiago
Into round 3 and Fancy dan already playing silly buggers as CO, forming an unholy alliance with Bspittles which may yet come back to bite him on the arse. Always difficult to tell whose having the best of it but Kizkiz is probably just edging it after the first 2 rounds

Wallenstein
Currently in the province set up stage and whereas round 1 saw a neatly laid out board, this time the colours appear to have been tossed to the 4 corners of christendom. Once again, I'm liking Kizkiz's placements at the moment & blahblah's seems to have had a reasonable set up phase too.

My only wins in this game have come through leading all the way. Just shows there are no clear strategies :-)

The Hoity Toity game that has kizkiz and Fancy Dan tied for third should really show kizkiz in 3rd as his collection was the more valuable (according to the rules on tied finishes).

Will post an update later as Hoity Toity 3/6 has now finished (with the points change for kizkiz/fancy Dan included). We are still patiently waiting for blahblah to return.

The good news for the chasing pack is Kizkiz not only failed to win, but finished last & picked up nil points. :P

Really annoyed about that last wallenstein game
Was leading by miles and only scored 12 in year 2 to come 3rd by only 3 points!
Winter revolt on the only territory i could have lost cost me

Looking to get round 3 games finished before starting round 4. That will see us at the halfway point with everyone having fulfilled 10 fixtures.

blahblah, your games have all gone into the red again. If you don't want to play, can you at least finish these games and we'll take you out of the competition?

Haven't the games died now? Maybe we can restart those without him, or get a replacement?
