Jack the Golden Bear hosts this week.

Tiger returns and faces Phil for the Number One Ranking. Is it possible for both to miss the cut?

Tiger Woods admits that he is not at 100% coming into the defence of his Memorial Tournament title at Muirfield Village.

Woods pulled out of his last event with a neck injury, and despite rest and treatment, is not yet fully cured.

Woods will go head-to-head with Phil Mickelson, who has closed in on the number one spot in the Official World Golf Rankings in recent weeks.

Ernie Els 20/1
Camillo Villegas 40/1
KJ Choi 25/1

I noticed something in common about two rapidly improving players...

Morning Wood & Luke Donald

What do they have in common?

Both are on fire as of late... and I know why

My teams are a mess. I didn't even consider him. I got the hump with not being able to get Tiger Woods in for this week and so gave up. I shouldn't have played this year.

ANelka is the winner ... Nice one :!:

The first time I hit my new forged irons on the range... My reaction was

"This is too good to be true"

It brings me to a topic of interest...

Paddy Harrington must be loaded with talent to get by with those Wilson Sticks...

The only clubs I trust are Mizuno, Titleist, and Ping. Some Nike wedges are OK.

I stay away from TaylorMade, Callaway, and other equipment that lacks good "feel" or doesn't set up well at address.

In a nutshell, Pros like Donald and Wood have the "advantage" of playing with top clubs 8-)

I cant believe Poulter is forced to use Cobras

Has Donald just changed to Mizuno's then? First win in 4 years. I can't believe any golfer is forced to play with a certain brand. A name like Poulter or Harrington wouldn't struggle to get new sponsorship if they felt they needed to change brands.

Fran the Man putting us through it today, score up and down like a yo-yo!

Seems to have settled on -2, which will have to do I suppose (he's my capt in the Scotsman/Yorks Post this week)

I think Harrington will point to his Majors haul as evidence of what matters. Likewise Poulter and his WGC title!

A friend got Mizunos a few months back - sure, they look good and his ball-striking with them was much better - but each to their own. Best decision Harrington made a year ago was not switching clubs. Imagine how bad he'd have been if he'd been dealing with that as well as his swing issue?

I know, I nearly fell off my seat when I saw that.

Then realised that meant it must be the right week for me to make some :P

Looks ominous for the afternoon guys at the golf in Wales- early holes are leading to bogies which suggests wind getting up.
Not too cuffed for NCG players but suggests that BR may stick with Wood.

Although the weekly occurence of Fasth starting fast has occurred - Eagle on the 1st!!!

Better Marshalling in Wales than AMerica. Everyone goes on about playing in the States but how often do you get on the course.
PLAY SUSPENDED DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER
Should just commit to 54 holes for US events ! Fair weather woofters ;0)

Great start by Justin in The Memorial, 65 (-7), looked like he was turning the corner at Wentworth, so stuck with him in MU#6 :D

That's the sort of comment that would have been useful earlier in the week MU Fan

Mind you, don't reckon many of us would have brought him in!

Left Rose as reserve on 1 team - been picking him in Yahoo comp etc as I thought his game was in better shape than his scoring. He will be coming in for The Open !

Poor old Paul Lawrie.

-5 after 10 holes, storming up the leaderboard to tied 5th...................then took 11 at the par 5 2nd

Not surprisingly that hit him rather hard, and he subsequently missed the cut  .
